Sunny Hostin rolled out her ready defense of Vice President Kamala Harris after the disastrous Fox News interview, ripping into critics with typical accusations of racism and sexism.
While the Democratic presidential nominee’s dumpster fire interview with Fox News anchor Bret Bair was ripped apart on many levels, the leftist co-host of “The View” was most offended by what she called the “trope of the angry black woman.”
Speaking with MSNBC host Ari Melber in the post-interview damage control, Hostin delivered a head-scratching reaction to what many agreed was a disaster interview.
“I watched the entire interview in the green room. I had the pleasure of doing that. And what I saw is someone who loves this country, who is competent, who is fit to be the president of the United States, who is in complete command of the facts and understands the stakes and what that our democracy truly is at stake,” she said of Harris.

She praised the vice president for going into “enemy territory,” adding, “I think that she did that because there are a group of people that have been fed over and over again misinformation and disinformation on Fox News. I mean, you have a court, you have a judge saying that it’s entertainment and not facts and not news.”
Hostin took issue with the post-interview analysis, however.
“You know, I saw a little bit of the panel after the interview, and one woman said that she ‘came in hot,’ and also said that she became angrier. I thought he came in hot, and what I am very tired of is this trope of the angry black woman. She was not angry. She was in command of the facts. She was passionate,” she claimed.
“Passion does not equal anger. You know, I’m often called, you know, Donald Trump actually called me dumb at a rally recently. You have these tropes that are used against women and women of color in particular,” Hostin ranted. “And I did not see a dumb woman. I did not see an angry woman. I saw a woman who understands what is at stake. And I thought that she was very, very strong.”
Social media users were not buying Hostin’s hot take.
Damage control is hard, huh? This woman has got y’all working triple time.

The absolute weakest arguments- racism and sexism. She can’t provide an answer to any question, and he was nice to her. As a woman, if she wins, women will be set back decades. Compare her to Hillary Clinton, Tulsi Gabbard, Nicole Shanahan. Kamala is flat out dumb.

She obviously didn’t watch the same interview that we all did.
Facts? She never answered one question.— Canine Collector (@Payedmydues) October 17, 2024
Sunny has the IQ of a turnip.
