Sunny Hostin, the ever-predictable liberal cohost of The View, compared Hamas to the Proud Boys and in the same breath accused Israel of committing war crimes for defending itself.
Hamas is responsible for over 1,300 deaths after launching an unprecedented attack on Israel over the weekend. Palestinian terrorists displayed unimaginable barbarity, indiscriminately gunning down the elderly and infants lying in their cribs. Women were raped and tortured, with their bodies set ablaze, and there were even reports of infants being beheaded.
Yet, Hostin compared their “terrorist” designation to a small number of right-wingers some view as extremists.
“One thing that Golda Meir said was, ‘You can’t negotiate with people who want to kill you.’ So, that’s what’s going on now,” cohost Joy Behar said, before setting up her colleague. “Go ahead, Sunny. You wanted to say something?”
“I look at it from a legal perspective. And I think we all know that Hamas has been designated a terror organization, just like many other terror organizations have this designation, like the Proud Boys here in the United States,” Hostin said.
“But I do think that what we need to remember is that there is an international human rights body of law,” she continued. “And when you look at that law, part of it is retaliation against innocent civilians collectively is also terror and is also a war crime. And, again, those are not my words, those are the words of the law.”
To bolster her argument against Israel, Hostin quoted Ursula von der Leyen, president the European Commission: “Russia’s attacks against civilian infrastructure, especially electricity, are war crimes. Cutting off men, women, children of water, electricity and heating with winter coming, these are acts of pure terror and we have to call it as such.”
Not quite through throwing Israel to the wolves, Hostin would claim that the Jewish state “bombed the only exit out of Palestine to Egypt.”
Never mind that Egypt is not welcoming the refugees, as cohost Sara Haines noted.
“Egypt cut off the second one because — Egypt is afraid, in many respects, and doesn’t want to get involved in this conflict,” Hostin said. “I think many people don’t want to get involved in this conflict. But we can’t lose our humanity. We must get involved.”

The Proud Boys aren’t protesting in favor of Hamas.
BLM and Antifa are.

Hamas is far more like BLM. But you won’t hear that on the view.

When you have no sense of moral depth, you tend to see every moral issue as false equivalencies.
