Swiss man thrown in jail for pointing out that men and women have different skeletons

A man in Switzerland was sent to jail for pointing out a simple biological fact that contradicts left-wing orthodoxy about transgenderism in a chilling bit of news that shows how European governments have criminalized free speech.

Last week, Swiss musician Emanuel Brünisholz began a ten-day sentence behind bars after he declined to pay a fine for a social media post in which he stated that men and women have different skeletons, remarks that were deemed to be hate speech and worthy of punishment by the “woke” zealots who are ushering in a new era of darkness on the European continent.

The unjustly imprisoned man explained the situation in a statement shared with Irish comedian Graham Linehan, who made headlines when he was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport earlier this year over allegedly anti-transgender social media posts that were made while he was visiting America.

“In 2022, I wrote on Facebook that a human skeleton can only be male or female. I pointed out that if, two centuries from now, someone were to unearth the remains of today’s LGBTQI people, they would find nothing but male or female skeletons. To imagine that one would find anything other than male or female struck me as a fantasy divorced from reason, so I described it as a mentally ill idea,” read the statement which Linehan posted to X.

“For that remark, I was fined 500 Swiss francs. I refused to pay, and so, on the 2nd of December 2025, I will serve ten days in prison. It is worth noting that, legally speaking, this prison sentence is not a punishment for refusing to pay the fine. Instead, the prison sentence is an alternative way to be punished for the Facebook post itself. I have chosen to trade a monetary fine for time behind bars,” Brünisholz said.

The free speech martyr was jailed for telling the truth, that there is a difference between male and female skeletons, with the pelvis being the defining characteristic, according to the Smithsonian.

“The pelvis tells the story. Distinct features adapted for childbearing distinguish adult females from males. Other bones and the skull also have features that can indicate sex, though less reliably. In young children, these sex-related features are less obvious and more difficult to interpret. Subtle sex differences are detectable in younger skeletons, but they become more defined following puberty and sexual maturation,” the Smithsonian states.

Despite being buried behind a paywall by the UK-based Telegraph, Brünisholz’s plight has nonetheless gotten attention from X users who weighed in on the imposition of “woke” totalitarianism across the pond.

“The LGBTQ+ movement behaves like a zealous sect. They try to brand me a homophobe to shut me up. I am nothing of the sort. I repair wind instruments for a living, and I come from a left-wing, tolerant household,” Brünisholz said. “What troubles me is watching the activists in that movement exploit ordinary LGB people for political ends that strike me as dangerous nonsense. These tactics have begun to cast a long shadow over Switzerland and Europe alike, as a kind of woke dictatorship.”
