Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger upended CNN’s Jake Tapper when the activist anchor tried to run a Democrat talking point about the party’s redistricting scheme down on him.
The legendary big screen action star appeared on the weekend’s edition of “State of the Union,” where the two discussed current California Governor Gavin Newsom’s effort to rig the state’s elections to put Republicans at an even bigger disadvantage than they already are, a measure that goes before voters next week.
To believe the lying Newsom and his fellow fibbers, Ballot Proposition 50 is an appropriate reaction to counter GOP redistricting in Texas, where lawmakers undid districts that had been gerrymandered six ways from Sunday, a method long used by Democrats to unfairly game elections in their favor, especially when it comes to using race as a criterion in drawing congressional districts.
When Tapper tried to spin Newsom’s slimy move to blame President Donald J. Trump, the “True Lies” star wasn’t having any of it.
NEW: Arnold Schwarzenegger claps back at CNN’s Jake Tapper, calls out “extreme gerrymandering” in blue states.
Tapper: “Do you believe that the Republican Party is starting this?”
Schwarzenegger: “No, Jake. There has been gerrymandering going on for 200 years.”

“As you acknowledged, this all started because of redistricting in Texas, and this was Trump pushing Republican controlled states to throw out their current congressional maps so as to cook the books so that there is less, it is less likely for Democrats to retake control of the House during the next year’s midterms. I mean, is it fair to argue that, well, do you believe that the Republican Party is starting this?” Tapper asked.
“No, Jake,” Schwarzenegger responded. “There has been gerrymandering going on for 200 years. There is such, such extreme gerrymandering going on that in a state like Massachusetts, that has like 40 percent of the people voting for Trump, they only have zero representatives. The Republican Party has zero representatives sent to the House. Think about that.”
“In New Mexico. If 45 percent of the people voted for Trump and voted Republican, and zero is sent to the House, zero representatives from the Republican Party,” he continued, listing examples of states where Democrats have effectively shut out Republicans from participating in their own government. “So there‘s gerrymandering, crazy gerrymandering going on all over the country, and we wanted to try to stop it in California, and we did stop it in California, and we went around the country.”
“So I think this whole thing about finger-pointing and said they did it. So therefore, we should be doing it. That‘s not really the way to go,” the Hollywood icon told Tapper. “The one party should outperform the other party. It should be performance. And when it comes to midterm elections, as you know, always the party that is not in the White House usually wins by 20, 25, 30 seats. So, what does five seats matter in the first place in Texas? It is crazy. You should outperform them. That is where the action is.”
And just like that, a CNN lie was terminated with Tapper changing the subject to climate change.
“I think that if you want to really fight for democracy, why would you go in, destroy the Constitution in California, tear it up and redo it, do the whole thing? So to me, it just doesn‘t make any sense at all,” Schwarzenegger also said, shooting down Newsom’s lie that his rigging the game against Republicans is a heroic effort to protect democracy.
Schwarzenegger’s been a vocal critic of the ambitious Newsom’s brazen election rigging to put the House of Representatives back under Democrat control and the Speaker’s gavel in the hands of shutdown pimp Hakeem Jeffries.

“F*** the politicians. Terminate gerrymandering,” read a shirt that Schwarzenegger wore in an August post to X, pumping iron as he did during his career as a world-class professional bodybuilder. “I’m getting ready for the gerrymandering battle,” wrote the “Terminator” star.
Newsom is hoping to use the election rigging effort as a springboard to the White House, looking to take his destruction of California nationwide in 2028.
