It’s no mystery that ‘The View’ is in the pocket of the left, but just how biased could they be?
The political leanings of the show’s guests reveal the answer in stark relief, to the surprise of very few. The Media Research Center’s study of the 341 guests who visited ‘The View’ in 2025 indicates that a mere two of them are conservatives. A whopping 128 of the visitors were liberal, including 25 left-leaning politicians.
“Their noticeable lack of right-leaning guests is just like their search for someone to fill the ‘conservative seat’ in the panel. They don’t want to have anyone on the show who’s going to lead to embarrassing moments of their leftist cast members being held to account for the wild and controversial things they say or call them out on their hypocrisies,” Nicholas Fondacaro, MRC associate editor, said to Fox News Digital.
Democratic lawmakers who visited include:

Former First Lady Jill Biden
Former Rep. Anthony Weirner

Then-NYC mayoral candidates Zohran Mamdani and Andrew Cuomo

Other notable liberal guests included Biden-era White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, former Obama staffers Jon Lovett, Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor, who run “Pod Save America,” Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, and GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis.
The only two conservative guests to grace the talk show were Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s wife, Cheryl Hines, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Fondacaro made sure to note that Hines does hold left-wing beliefs, but was considered a conservative for the purposes of the study due to her defense of her husband’s policies. He also mentioned that Greene’s appearance coincided with her public rift with the Republican Party during the government shutdown.
“With the show set to return on January 5, 2026, and President Trump speaking out against her, Greene was already announced as a guest for their January 7 episode,” the associate editor continued. “Two days after she was set to step down from Congress and one day following Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett making her third appearance on ‘The View’ in less than a year.”
MRC President David Bozell believes that ‘The View’ does not qualify as a true news program and is merely an entertainment program.
“‘The View’ should be renamed ‘The Cackle’ and eliminated from the ABC News Division and placed in the comedy lineup with a warning label, ‘This show is for non-entertainment purposes only.’ We welcome an FCC investigation into whether ‘The View’ still qualifies as a bona fide news program. We don’t think it does,” he said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
