Jessica Tarlov took the unsurprising position of normalizing Abdul El-Sayed following the Democrat’s interview with Jesse Watters.
She had a very different takeaway than most people did following the interview. Either that, or she’s creating a pitch for a new PR firm and is trying to show off her ability to spin better than anyone else.

Jessica Tarlov spins for El-Sayed: Says he just “seemed like a bro who went to the University of Michigan” in disaster interview with Jesse Watters.
“I think it was all very effective.”

“I mean, I would say, I think if the narrative the right was going with is that Abdul El-Sayed is a terrorist, or terrorist-adjacent, he just seems like a bro who went to the University of Michigan. And that’s exactly how they want to present it; the campaign does; they want to speak about his ties to Michigan,” Tarlov said, adding, “I think it was all very effective, along those lines.”
Interestingly, she didn’t seem to want to address some of the wilder parts of the interview, including the moment that the candidate asked Watters whether he was circumcised. The question came up during a conversation about child sex changes.
“You think it’s okay for a parent to slash their kid’s ding-a-ling off?” Watters asked. “You think that’s okay?”
“I mean, do you really want to have this conversation? Are you circumcised?” El-Sayed responded.
“Yeah, yeah, but I mean, that’s a personal question, doctor! Circumcision is different than castration,” the host pointed out.
X users weighed in on Tarlov’s take:
Tarlov is what’s the words?
Oh, yeah a vacuous indoctrinated tool and product of our uber Leftist higher education system who’s never had an original thought in her life.
Her “arguments” are incoherent liberal narrative talking points.
She has all the “credentials” and I’d…

After several election cycles of Democrats trying to connect with men (especially young men) and failing miserably, the fact that Tarlov thinks that El-Sayed “seemed like a bro” is very telling. She clearly has no idea what a “bro” is.

I’m a girl who went to the University of Michigan, and there’s nothing bro about him. It’s hilarious that the democrats, who thought Tim Walz was the epitome of an American red-blooded male who could help Kamala Harris, now think that Abdul is the way. 🤦♀️

amazing anyone thinks “being a bro who went to U of M” is a good thing.
because who really likes frat boys in the first place? other idiot terminal preppies. & maybe their girlfriends.
and do you even know about the U of M/State rivalry? it literally splits the state in half.— stephanie cameron (@khemo5) August 26, 2026
