Authorities in Franklin, Tennessee are seeking help from the public in identifying the alleged victims of popular 63-year-old soccer coach Camilo Hurtado Campos. Having booked the suspect on charges of Rape of a Child and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, a statement from the Franklin Police Department detailed how staff at a local restaurant triggered the “heartbreaking investigation.”
“Police were contacted by a local restaurant after staff found a cell phone left behind by a customer, later determined to be Campos,” a Sunday release explained. “Workers took a look through it to try and find info that would lead them to the owner, so they could return the phone. What they found, instead, were dozens of unconscionable videos and pictures of children, and so they called police.”
NBC News showed how Campos’ residence on Glass Lane in the downtown Franklin area was directly across the street from a soccer field and located between two schools. According to the police, “During off-hours, Campos frequented nearby school playgrounds in both neighborhoods (downtown Franklin and Hill Estates) where he approached kids and recruited them as players on his team.”
“After gaining their trust, Campos invited many of the kids to his home where he drugged and then raped them,” the statement continued as it was explained videos of the rapes of 10 unconscious boys were said to be discovered on the suspect’s cellphone.
At the time of this report only two of the victims were said to have been identified thanks to help from local schools and the remaining victims, believed to be between the ages of nine- and 17 years old, “might not even realize that they were victims” because of the state of unconsciousness allegedly induced by Campos.
Conservative commentator and area resident Robby Starbuck, who had run for office in Tennessee’s Congressional District 5, took to social media with details of the “horrific local story” encouraging members of the public to aid with the investigation.
“I’m sick over this case. He’s held right now on $525,000 bond. Why the hell does a child rapist get the chance to bond out of jail when he’s ON VIDEO raping kids??? Our penalties for pedophiles are nowhere near adequate in America. They deserve an immediate death penalty!” he tweeted before promising to “be making it my mission to pass a law in Tennessee that results in child rapists getting the death penalty.”

Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had already worked with his state’s legislature to enact such a law specifically for those who commit sexual battery against children younger than 12 years old.
“We think that in the worst of the worst cases, the only appropriate punishment is the ultimate punishment,” America’s Governor had said in promoting the law expected to face challenges up to and including in the U.S. Supreme Court.
As the investigation into Campos continues, Franklin police indicated “Detectives are expected to file several additional charges.” Meanwhile, corporate media has deflected from the subject of child sex trafficking as the Angel Studios film “Sound of Freedom,” based on the true story of former Homeland Security Special Agent Tim Ballard’s efforts to build a network rescuing abductees, has sparked a national conversation on worldwide slavery.

Jail him in with a large number of regular inmates and let them mete out justice.

Death penalty. No other option for such heinous crimes.
