Tennis legend Martina Navratilova may be leaning in the right direction when it comes to men competing in women’s sports but don’t let that fool you, she is still a raging liberal.
Not only that, she is fully consumed with Trump Derangement Syndrome, having spent much of her time during the final night of the Republican National Convention bashing the 2024 GOP nominee and reposting comments by others, including unhinged lunatic Keith Olbermann, doing the same.
But a troubling pattern included here is Navratilova dismissing the attempt on Trump’s life by a failed assassin who has so far managed to mystify the FBI. This downplaying began earlier in the week when she responded to a post criticizing the bandage Trump wore at the convention,
“Of course- this is obviously a PR stunt- the day after the shooting he had no dressing on his ear… not even a band-Aid,” she posted.

Navratilova pushed a false narrative in responding to a critic on social media. “‘The day before he wore nothing or a small bandaid no one could see while playing golf. My stance on any kind of violence and also guns is pretty clear and knows no favor. Thank you.”
The photo Navratilova was referring to was reportedly taken in 2022, according to the Daily Mail.

On Thursday night, Navratilova reported this tweet that included a swipe at the ear bandage:
(Trump is shot by AR-15)
Republicans: Let’s wear fake ear bandages to show how much we love Trump.
(countless schoolchildren are shot and killed by AR-15s)
Republicans: Let’s wear AR-15 pins to show how much we love AR-15s.

In yet another response, this time to Trump talking about renewed tensions with North Korea to suggest dictator Kim Jong Un “wants me back in office. He misses me,” Navratilova posted: “Unhinged to his core.”
The rhetoric on display by the tennis great, as seen below, directly contributed to an atmosphere where Trump and his supporters are viewed as being less than human. An atmosphere where an unbalanced person may pick up a rifle and feel morally justified in killing people:
It’s not MAGA, it’s MAWA- Make America White Again…
Mass Deportation Now signs everywhere at the RNC convention. Disgraceful.— Martina Navratilova (@Martina) July 18, 2024
Rightfully so, Navratilova was taken to task on social media… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
(sigh) You know, I say it a lot these days. I am not a Trump fan. But the lows to which prominent people who’re opposed to Trump, continue to go, is deeply disappointing. This isn’t helping your case against the man. It just looks cringe, and petty.

Spewing misinformation Martina. Might want to check your sources. #TDS

You’re speaking misinfo. Be careful what you fall for. You’re pushing a false narrative.

What a petty person you are.
