Texas high school students walk out to ‘peacefully’ protest ICE, end up beating a guy on video

A group of Texas high school students who were protesting federal immigration enforcement on Monday reportedly got into a physical fight with what may have been a teacher.

According to a press release from the Hays Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) near Austin, on Monday, students across multiple campuses  “staged [unauthorized] protests by walking out of classes and their respective school buildings.”

During one such protest, this happened:

Notice the red hat on the ground. It appeared to be a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Users on the social media site Reddit have claimed that the hat was worn by the man seen being attacked in the video above.

These same users have alleged that he was driving by and got out of his truck and started the physical confrontation after the students screamed at and hassled him.

Local station KVUE has confirmed some of this narrative — namely that “a man got into an argument with a girl on the sidewalk” before the argument “escalated into a fight involving multiple people.”

Journalist Brian Glenn of Real America’s Voice reported that the man seen squabbling with students in the video above was a teacher.

When asked how he knew, he said on social media that he was told so:

The Buda Police Department also confirmed some of what transpired.

“Just before 3:00 pm, Buda officers were dispatched to the intersection of RM967 and FM1626 for a fight in progress,” the department said in a press release. “Upon arrival, officers were notified that a female juvenile on the sidewalk and an adult male in a vehicle were engaged in a verbal argument.”

“The argument escalated into a physical altercation involving multiple people. Both primary parties involved were identified, and the situation remains under investigation. No arrests have been made at this time,” the release continued.

This afternoon at about 1:30pm, the Buda Police Department was notified by a Hays County Sheriff’s Office School…

Meanwhile, a separate altercation — this one between students and police — erupted at another Hays CISD school.

“Officers say they were on the scene of [a] demonstration to monitor traffic and pedestrian safety when they saw a minor in possession of alcohol,” according to KVUE.

“Police said one juvenile was charged with assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, interfering with public duties, consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor. The other juvenile was charged with resisting arrest and interfering with public duties,” the report continued.

Similar video footage has begun to emerge from other parts of the country as well, including Atlanta.

Protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have become commonplace recently on account of all the left-wing brainwashing in schools, in the media, and elsewhere.

Young, naïve students have been led to believe ICE agents are indiscriminately scooping up all minorities they find on the streets and deporting them to far-off countries.
