A political news outlet based in Washington, D.C. was ridiculed after it touted the results of a poll showing that Canadians are concerned about U.S. democracy if voters elect GOP frontrunner Donald J. Trump in November.
In an article published on Monday, The Hill highlighted the poll from the Canadian nonprofit research organization the Angus Reid Institute showing that nearly two-thirds of canucks “strongly agreed or agreed that U.S. democracy would not survive four more years with Trump in the White House.”
In addition, nearly half believe that the U.S. is “on the way to becoming an authoritarian state,” indicating a stunning lack of self-awareness from Canadians who are currently living under the heel of the left-wing tyranny of prissy fascist PM Justin Trudeau as well as from The Hill which conveniently omitted the dirty details of his brutal COVID crackdown.

According to the outlet, “The poll by the Angus Reid Institute found that 64 percent of Canadians strongly agreed or agreed that U.S. democracy would not survive four more years with Trump in the White House. Nearly 50 percent of Canadians also agreed that the U.S. is “on the way to becoming an authoritarian state” as the election season ramps up.”
The reaction to The Hill’s decision to promote the irrelevant opinions of citizens of a foreign country who have their own obvious problems with an authoritarian leader was absolutely brutal.
Canada is jailing journalists, locking up peaceful protesters, forcing fealty to insane gender ideology, barely penalizing rapists, and countless other ridiculous totalitarian policies.
They may want to sit this one out. https://t.co/XuUlcgmzrD— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) January 15, 2024
This is the level of propaganda that corporate journalists are reduced to in 2024 https://t.co/JZTRKW6iMx

They couldn’t find enough Americans that agreed so they outsourced. That’s panic.

I’m really not interested in being lectured about democracy from the country that has a Prime Minister who shuts down the bank accounts of political protesters. https://t.co/1CVZIUsGzm

Coming from the country who worshipped and honored a literal Nazi in Parliament, has an illustrious history of Nazi service dating back to WW2, has a PM who wears black face, freezes the accounts of citizens for wrongspeak…
They will be begging for Trump to liberate them soon.

Why does anyone care what Canadians say?

Canada isn’t even allowed to have dissenting political views. Maybe they should stick to dealing with their black face wearing oppressor.

Do the Canadians realize they live in a dictatorship? https://t.co/mvZWFHk2s4

“The spectre of authoritarianism hangs over Trump’s pursuit to return to the White House. Trump has said ‘retribution’ would be part of his agenda if he were to be re-elected,” the Angus Reid Institute said in the first installment of a three-part series that will probably be given far more attention by the domestic media than it deserves.
