The Democrat Party’s most leftist lawmakers are headed to Uruguay this week to publicly trash-talk President Donald Trump’s policies.
The “progressive” lawmakers plan to attend the PanAmerican Congress in Montevideo, where they intend to challenge the president’s “Donroe Doctrine” policy for Latin America, according to Common Dreams.
The “Donroe Doctrine” refers to the president’s ambitions of restoring and enforcing U.S. predominance in the Western Hemisphere.
Leading the charge against the president’s policies is far-leftist Rep. Pramila Jayapal.
Before this year’s Panamerican Congress, I’m demanding the Trump administration answer for their “Donroe” Doctrine.
It follows a partisan playbook: lethal force, economic coercion, interference in the democratic life of sovereign nations. These tactics destabilize our hemisphere… pic.twitter.com/7d3ItB6sOJ

“As Members of Congress, we are asked to accept that this doctrine now governs U.S. policy toward every nation in the Western Hemisphere — yet we still lack the basic information needed to understand what it means in practice, what authorities it assumes, and what human costs this new posture has already claimed in communities across the Americas,” she said in a statement.
“Taken together, the interventions conducted under the banner of the ‘Donroe’ Doctrine appear to follow a partisan playbook: the endorsement of favored candidates, the placement of political allies, the weaponization of tariffs and sanctions, and, where those fail, the application of direct military force. These are tactics that destabilize our hemisphere and endanger our neighbors,” she added.
In a video published to Instagram, she further slammed Trump’s “Donroe Doctrine” for being focused on “interventionism and regime change.”
“Trump has carried out extrajudicial killings in the form of boat strikes, pardoned narco-traffickers, kidnapped a head of state, put his thumb on the scale of multiple elections, used embargoes to inflict collective punishment on ordinary people, and threatened regime change in numerous countries,” she said.
“This is not who the United States is or must be in the world. We need a foreign policy that focuses on the needs of the people rather than the wealthiest few and giant corporations. We need to build a durable and lasting coalition of progressives that can take on the right-wing forces and answer them with the necessary call of the people,” she added.
She concluded by saying she’d be attending the Pan-American Congress “to build solidarity in the fight against interventionism and democratic backsliding, and to learn how the United States can be a partner in those efforts.”

Other Democrats who’ll be attending the conference include Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and extremely controversial congressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier.
Chevalier is a radical socialist candidate for Congress and the founder of Columbia University Apartheid Divest, or CUAD, an organization that has admitted it’s “fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization.”
Chevalier is also a die-hard communist who participated in an anti-Israel party the day after the Oct. 7 attack, who believes Karl Marx is a “must read,” and who previously quoted cop killer Assata Shakur.

– Abolish borders & capitalism
– Wipe dirty hands on American flag
– Nationalize Amazon & give revenue to blacksMAGA nationalism or woke communism

Jayapal and an assortment of other Democrats, meanwhile, sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio this Monday demanding he abandon the “Donroe Doctrine.”
“We urge you to chart a different path forward,” they wrote. “Our U.S. policy and engagements with counterparts across the hemisphere should show that we have learned from our past and seek to engage our partners in a different way.”
“At the core, our foreign policy must be grounded on respect for sovereignty, respect for international law and our own domestic laws, and a commitment to cooperation and multilateral engagement instead of coercion and unitary executive action,” they added.
The Dems’ trip to Uruguay is one of many examples of the deranged left taking to the global stage to dump on the United States. Former President Joe Biden was especially infamous for doing this.
