Joy Reid responds to TX shooting to say Canada, Mexico should build walls: ‘They’d be safer’

Those who seem to hold the deepest reserves of hatred for America always seize on unfortunate occurrences to run the country down, the ultimate goal of these radical leftists being to destroy the United States and “build back better” with their failed Marxist-inspired policies.

Enter Joy Reid, the hate-filled MSNBC primetime host who is consumed with race. Responding to the senseless shooting in Uvalde, Texas, which claimed the lives of 19 school children and two adults, Reid declared that Canada and Mexico “should” build walls on the border to protect themselves from violence in America — of course, she is not talking about the soaring violence in one Democrat-run urban area after another. No, her spirited effort appeared to be in defense of illegal immigration.

“School shootings by country, you want to make it sound like the problem is the border, so the problem is coming over the border from Mexico?” Reid asked. “Good luck with that, 288 school shootings in the United States thus far this year, eight in Mexico, eight. We are scores of magnitude more dangerous on this side of the border than that one. Maybe Mexico should build a wall to keep the American mass shooters out because that would actually be more logical.”

Never mind that Mexico, which has 200 million fewer people than the U.S., had a total of 43,964 homicides registered in 2021, according to Statista. By comparison, there were just over 21,000 homicides in America. While Reid specifically stated school shootings, the indication that Mexico is a safer country is simply false.

MSNBC contributor Matthew Dowd chimed in to say Canada should “build a wall,” pointing out that 900 people were killed by gunfire last year in the country compared to “30,000 in America.”

The stat cited by Dowd appears to include suicides, which more than double homicides according to studies, not that MSNBC bothers to clarify such factors.

“You know how many were killed in Canada in schools? Two. So it’s 228-2, yeah, they should build a wall. They’d be safer. We are the ones who should be on the other side of the wall,” Reid gleefully contributed.
