Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis epitomizes arrogance and privilege as she flails around at her misconduct hearing while a judge contemplates disqualifying her from former President Donald Trump’s 2020 Georgia election interference case.
Willis is facing scrutiny over her romantic relationship with Nathan Wade, the man she tapped as special prosecutor responsible for prosecuting Trump. On Thursday, she showcased her apparent belief that the best defense is a strong offense, though it’s questionable how much that approach is helping her.
“These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020,” Willis said of the defense team. “I’m not on trial no matter how hard you try to put me on trial.”
As much of a hot mess Willis has turned out to be, she managed to convince plenty on social media that she engaged in her defense on Thursday while wearing her dress backward.
ok this my party trick
Adrianna Papell knit crepe tied knee length sheath dress, color “camilla” or “caramilla”, circa Nordstrom 2016ish, $129 with no discount, a tailor took in her shoulders and yes, she is wearing it backwards. https://t.co/iDiTBRWuZ3

The trip point regarding Willis is that the dress zipper is in the front, but fate appears to be on her side here.
As seen below, a social media user found the dress on Amazon and it apparently comes with zippers on the front and back — the fact she’s buying her dresses on Amazon for $42.99 may be an issue for another day.
I actually found the dress. It’s made by VFSHOW and has zips in front and back. The front stitching matches exactly. I only went looking because I love a great, front zip dress. pic.twitter.com/zwCnW5S89a

But this revelation came late for online sleuths who were convinced that the garment was being worn improperly:
I found one in a different color on poshmark, and you’re right, the zipper should definitely be in the back ♀️ pic.twitter.com/M5qoDvhTHK

The notion that Willis could have worn her dress backwards was certainly believable for many social media users – here’s a quick sampling of some of the responses to the story, as seen on X:
If you are going to have a zipper on the front, it’s supposed to be decorative. So you use a visible zipper, not a hidden zipper. That’s why everyone thought it must be backwards.

She got dressed fast. She also forgot her spanx and bra.

She can do one of two things.
1.Not emasculate black men
Or
2. Not where her dress backwards
But she can’t do both.— Who Died And Made You Queen, Queen? (@redandright) February 16, 2024
The only thing is, the slit is in the back.. bit that zipper is always also in the back.. this is kinda weird
