Actor Jon Voight, who isn’t shy about sharing his conservative leanings, posted a video to X discussing his take on the current social and political climate in the United States.
“What are we to do?” Voight asks at the beginning of the video, echoing a question many have asked themselves lately.

“This is now a war, a war against all of us,” he continues. “The [President Joe] Biden administration is a corrupt mob, and the [former President Barack] Obama fuels the cycle.”
A supporter of former President Donald Trump, Voight says the persecution of the ex-commander-in-chief is “the most disgusting scheme to try and keep him down.”
“This system now allows criminals to steal from department stores and all they say is to watch, and not do anything,” he says of soft-on-crime policies. “And this is okay, to sit and allow these monsters to destroy the hard-working designers and retailers. My God. My fellow Americans, this is a Civil War.”
“Let us not allow the manipulation of this government to destroy this land, our purpose, our love, our light,” he says later in the video. “Allow the truth to remind us all that we are a nation that has been free, and now our freedom is being taken away with lies and greed. Stand up now, they’re the only truths that can save us.”
Social media users loved the message and shared their support for both Voight and Trump, who is continuing to run for the presidency despite his legal troubles:
