‘This is what reparations looks like’: Police release crazy video of Philly mob looting electronics store

Police in Philadelphia released videos of the looting mob that swept across the city that prompted the reaction, “This is what reparations looks like.”

The City of Brotherly Love was anything but Tuesday night as scores of masked thugs picked their way through retailers like Lululemon and the Apple Store taking what they wished. While an initial 15-20 were reported arrested in connection to the “coordinated attack,” the Philadelphia Police Department sought the public’s help in identifying more of the criminals.

Along with the announcement of an increased police presence, surveillance videos were posted that captured much of the chaotic looting. Included was interior footage from a P.C. Richard & Son that showed featured bandits rushing in to snag televisions and other appliances with their own five-finger discount version of Black Friday.

“This is what reparations looks like,” commentator Ian Miles Cheong captioned the video associating the actions with BLM protests.

As Detectives wondered if the public recognized any of the suspects, assuring anonymity for any concerned about backlash, another video showing a swarm swiping merchandise from an Apple Store prompted the question, “Do they look like they are stealing bread to feed their family?”

Other dramatic footage showed looters using a shopping cart to bust through the window of a Target, bags and baskets filled with goods being hauled out of pharmacies, cash registers getting ripped off of counters and some even pilfering through the back room of a Dunkin’.

Others reacted to the dramatic footage with equal measures of sarcasm and disdain.

“Look at all those loaves of bread,” wrote one as another quipped, ‘They just stealing bread to feed their families.”

Another criticized, “And they will be upset in a few years when there are no retail stores and they only have online shopping options. What do they think is going to happen to all of their stores when they can’t function at all?”

“And good luck with packages from Amazon being left on doorstep in some neighborhoods,” the user added.

The same day that looters swept through Philadelphia, it was reported that Target had pulled the plug on nine stores across four states precisely because of this kind of organized crime. As detailed by the Daily Mail, “On October 21, two locations in Seattle, three stores in the San Francisco-Oakland neighborhood, three stores in Portland, and one store in Harlem, New York will close for good.”

Of course, the looters weren’t alone in getting slammed for their behavior as another took aim at the futility of law enforcement attempting to arrest the suspects when leftist prosecutors would likely let them off the hook.

“Why? So your D.A. can release them with no bail and refuse to prosecute them? Y’all voted for this crap. Enjoy.”
