While Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson was busy accusing Texas Gov. Greg Abbott of “attacking our country” by bussing illegal immigrants to the Democrat-run sanctuary city, residents in Chicago were actually under attack.
At least three people were killed, and 17 more wounded in Windy City shootings during Christmas weekend, according to CBS News Chicago.
One of the dead was identified by Alderman Raymond Lopez as a migrant, with the shooting taking place outside an illegal immigrant facility in Gage Park.
Bad news: You got shot outside a migrant shelter.
Worse: The migrants have a nickname for you. pic.twitter.com/rIGAUhtjts

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed in an alley a couple of hours later by an unknown offender, and a 24-year-old man was killed later that night “when two males approached on foot and fired shots. The victim was shot in the chest and pronounced dead on the scene,” the CBS affiliate reported.
The man shot in the alley was killed by a 68-year-old concealed carry holder, according to CWB Chicago. The elder man told police he shot the man after being targeted in an armed robbery by four men.
At least 5 people were wounded on Christmas Eve, and two more were shot on Christmas Day.
Turns out, Johnson has his own legal problems to worry about so you will have to excuse him if he’s distracted.
“The city of Chicago has issued seizure orders for two SUVs that shuttle Mayor Brandon Johnson around town because no one has paid a growing pile of speeding and red light camera tickets issued to the vehicles,” CWB Chicago reported. “Four SUVs dedicated to Johnson have collected 21 citations and one warning since he became mayor seven months ago. As of Wednesday night, the unpaid fines and penalties total $2,130.”
Two of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s taxpayer funded SUVs will be impounded because he didn’t pay red light and speeding tickets that were due. You guys picked a real winner Chicago. https://t.co/79u5wkMbWu
