‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic to mount 2024 presidential bid from jail, says we have our priorities ‘a**-backwards’

Whether or not Joe Exotic could mount a serious campaign from federal prison, the “Tiger King” set forth his 2024 presidential platform with some direct fire at the leading parties’ frontrunners.

Two weeks after Joseph Maldonado-Passage, known to the world as Joe Exotic of the Netflix show “Tiger King,” launched his second presidential campaign, the convicted prisoner spoke with Fox News host Lawrence Jones about his intent and the issues he feels are most pressing.

Aired during “Lawrence Jones Cross Country,” the former zookeeper was first asked about the seriousness of his bid to which he replied, “It’s my constitutional right to do this.”

Sentenced to 21 years in prison after being convicted on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire as well as wildlife charges, he continued, “It doesn’t matter what people think. This ain’t a joke. Things have to be changed in our country, in our political system, in our Justice Department, our prison system. Somebody has gotta start asking some real questions for the people that work their butts off in this country to pay the bill for these politicians to just keep peeing this money away.”

Previously, Maldonado-Passage had run for president as an independent in 2016 before later coming in third in his bid for the Libertarian Party’s 2018 Oklahoma gubernatorial primary. After his 2019 arrest, the party voted to revoke his membership, but that did not deter him from running as a Libertarian and speaking his mind on the issues facing the country.

“First of all, we have to quit policing the rest of the world, okay? And we have to quit funding everybody else’s culture,” he told Jones. “It’s not the working people of America’s problem to take care of the rest of the world.”

“We’re sending billions and billions of dollars to other countries for gender identity, for their wars, for their crap, and we’re cutting grandma and grandpa’s social security in America. And we have homeless vets, and it’s just a**-backwards,” the prisoner continued.

His social media page included other examples of his positions, albeit with some profanity peppered in.

Having called out former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson’s Libertarian bids for president in 2012 and 2016, the former Netflix star went on to compare his conviction to the alleged crimes of other world leaders, including former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.

“We have President Putin just has warrants for his arrest for war crimes. We have President Trump under the possibility of an indictment and other criminal charges. We have Hunter Biden and President Biden under investigation for money-laundering and making bad deals,” he rattled off.

“What the hell is the difference in somebody in prison that sees the system for what it really is, and exposing this and trying to fix it?” the “Tiger King” argued.
