Tim Burchett gives masterclass on how to respond to Trump 25A inquiries

Impatient Democrats aren’t waiting for the midterms and hoping to win back the House to impeach President Donald J. Trump; they are making their move to get rid of him now.

The party that rejects the legitimate results of every presidential election that they don’t win has mounted a push to oust Trump using the 25th Amendment over the war on Iran, claiming that he is cognitively unfit to carry out his duties as commander in chief, despite not uttering a peep when the obviously senile Joe Biden was at the helm.

But portraying Trump as a lunatic over his recent rhetoric may be a tougher sales pitch than Democrats have bargained for, considering his long history of talking tough and making bombastic threats, something that Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) pointed out to Stephen A. Smith on the latest edition of the ESPN motormouth’s podcast.

“You’ve had people out there calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked and for President Trump to be removed from office because they believe he’s unfit,” Smith asked of the Tennessee Republican. “Where do you stand with all of that? Is he fit for office in your estimation?”

“We all know it’s not gonna happen, let’s get that out the way, he ain’t getting’ removed from office,” the host continued. “They can bloviate all they want to, he’s not going anywhere until 2028, but my question to you would be, is he fit for office in your estimation? Based on some of the things that you’re seeing him do, based on some the things that you’re hearing him say.”

“I think he is,” Burchett responded. “This is a straight talk situation, so I’m gonna be straight talk with you. “There ain’t too many saints that get elected to that high of an office. It’s a rough and tumble world, and people get roughed up.”

“Politics is a contact sport, and brother, you better put your cup on, and you better put your helmet on if you want to get in this game,” the congressman continued, quoting a local radio host and noting that former President Richard M. Nixon cussed up a blue streak out of the public eye.

“Trump negotiates with Teamsters in New York and it’s rough talk,” Burchett said, adding, “That’s just the way Trump is; he has no filter, and he does not care. He wants to deliver the goods, and that’s his goal.”

Democrats are sharpening their messaging about the 25th Amendment, and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the top Dem on the House Judiciary Committee, sent a Friday letter to Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, who serves as Trump’s physician calling for a “comprehensive cognitive assessment” of the president, with the results made public.

However, it’s going to be difficult for the hypocritical Dems to sell their 25th Amendment argument to the public when they turned a blind eye – and outright enabled – Biden, who many argue was a borderline vegetable for his entire four-year term and obviously mentally unfit for the job.
