Tim Walz has stunning reaction when asked about hostage deaths

Governor Tim Walz popped into the 2024 Minnesota State Fair on Sunday and while he managed to showcase how he’s just a regular guy in his quick appearance, even being celebrating in the New York Times for eating a porkchop on a stick when business turned serious Kamala Harris’ running mate turned to the exit door.

“Alright Minnesota, breakfast of champions. Porkchop on a stick,” Walz said in a video he put out. “I’ve traveled to a lot of state fairs, while Iowa has a nice one, it does not compare with Minnesota.”

While he was willing to comment on the delicacies being served up, when Walz was asked about a group of hostages murdered in Gaza over the weekend, including one American, he beat a hasty retreat.

“What’s your reaction to the six hostages being found dead in Gaza?” a woman off camera asked the vice presidential candidate, who was drinking a milkshake at the time.

An aide can be seen whispering something to Walz as the woman finishes her question, and with that, the governor begins walking away while ignoring the question.

“All right, thanks everybody,” he said.

“Hamas terrorists killed six hostages Saturday as Israel Defense Forces launched a rescue operation in the tunnels below Gaza’s Rafah. Among the bodies recovered was Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who had been held by the Hamas terrorists since Oct. 7, when war first broke out between Hamas and Israel,” Fox News reported.

Walz put out a statement late Sunday on the murder of Goldberg-Polin — after being eviscerated online for ignoring the question.

“The anguish of losing a child is something no family should have to endure. Gwen and I send our deepest condolences to the Goldberg-Polin family, after Hamas’ murder of their son Hersh. Hamas is a brutal terrorist organization — and we condemn their continued atrocities against both Americans and Israelis in the strongest possible terms,” the politician said.

As for the aforementioned criticism, here’s a quick sampling of the carnage seen on X:
