Time magazine quietly updates its ‘fact check’ on Trump: ‘Lie, gaslight, then correct…’

The propagandists at Time magazine are facing mockery and backlash for blatantly lying about former President Donald Trump.

During this week’s debate between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the former president rightly noted that his opponent supports taxpayer-funded sex-change operations for criminal aliens.

Yet following the debate, Time magazine joined other blatant propagandists in claiming that Trump was a liar.

“The former President … falsely claimed that Harris ‘wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison,'” the disreputable magazine claimed in a report filed Wednesday morning.

But by the end of the day, the report contained a hilarious addition: A correction in which Time magazine admitted it got it wrong:

“The original version of this story mischaracterized as false Donald Trump’s statement accusing Kamala Harris of supporting ‘transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison,'” the correct reads.

“As a presidential candidate in 2019, Harris filled out a questionnaire saying she supported taxpayer-funded gender transition treatment for detained immigrants,” it continues.

Now, while it’s true Time deserves some credit for issuing a correction, most critics maintain that it should have never published a lie about Trump in the first place — and that it wouldn’t have if it was staffed by actual journalists and not propagandists.

“Same old story,” one critic tweeted. “Lie, gaslight, then correct it quietly and secretly. How many times do Americans have to see the same playbook to know the game by now?”

“This right here is exactly why people do not trust the mainstream media,” another critic added.

The propagandists at Time magazine weren’t alone in accusing Trump of being the one who’s telling lies. So did a number of other current and former media propagandists.

The examples go on for days because as usual, the biggest liars and sharers of misinformation/disinformation are the propagandists in the corporate propaganda press.

As for Harris, it’s known for a FACT that when she filled out a 2019 ACLU candidate questionnaire, she wrote that she supported transgender surgery for detained illegal aliens.

“It is important that transgender individuals who rely on the state for care receive the treatment they need, which includes access to treatment associated with gender transition,” she wrote. “That’s why, as Attorney General, I pushed the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to provide gender transition surgery to state inmates.”

“I support policies ensuring that federal prisoners and detainees are able to obtain medically necessary care for gender transition, including surgical care, while incarcerated or detained. Transition treatment is a medical necessity, and I will direct all federal agencies responsible for providing essential medical care to deliver transition treatment,” she added.

Yet in an interview this week with Fox News, Harris’ spokesperson denied that she supports this. And as usual, the propagandists in the corporate press ran with HER LIES.
