Time to sue! AOC brands Trump a ‘rapist’ in nasty Epstein jab

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) branded President Donald J. Trump as a “rapist” in a defamatory social media post in which she shared her take on the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Trump’s Justice Department is at the center of a firestorm after it concluded that the notorious sex trafficker did not have a “client list” nor was there any “credible evidence” that Epstein was using sexually compromising videos to blackmail powerful people of influence. It was also determined that there was nothing sinister about Epstein’s death inside a high-security federal prison cell in 2019.

“Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?” AOC wrote in a Friday post to X, another Democrat who couldn’t care less about Epstein until they saw the files controversy as a way to own Trump.

The Democrat diva’s post drew a strong backlash, and some pointed out that a similarly defamatory falsehood cost ABC and star anchor George Stephanopoulos dearly after he claimed that Trump had been “found liable for rape” and was sued for the statement.

Others remarked on the hypocrisy of AOC and her fellow Democrats over their sudden interest in the Epstein case.

In December 2024, ABC News agreed to pay a $15 million settlement over Stephanopoulos’ errant tongue in the form of a “charitable contribution” to Trump’s yet-to-be-built presidential museum/foundation as well as an additional $1 million in legal fees.

Whether Ocasio-Cortez will similarly be held accountable for her lie remains to be seen.
