Top neocon: Trump would be a dictator like Caesar or Hitler if he wins election

These are desperate times for the establishment with the idea beginning to sink in that former President Donald J. Trump could really win next year’s election and a prominent neoconservative ideologue warned that he will impose a dictatorship if he does.

In a lengthy op-ed published by the Washington Post, arch-neocon Robert Kagan invoked the names of Roman Emperor Julius Caesar and Nazi tyrant Adolf Hitler in warning of the dangers of a Trump return, a screed that some have interpreted as being a dog whistle for a disturbed individual to take him out before voters go to the polls.

Predicting that opposition to Trump will melt away if he carries the day on Super Tuesday, Kagan wrote, “Votes are the currency of power in our system, and money follows, and by those measures, Trump is about to become far more powerful than he already is. The hour of casting about for alternatives is closing. The next phase is about people falling into line.”

“Like Caesar, Trump wields a clout that transcends the laws and institutions of government, based on the unswerving personal loyalty of his army of followers,” he stated in the piece.

“Rarely in American history has democracy’s inherent messiness been more striking. In Weimar Germany, Hitler and other agitators benefited from the squabbling of the democratic parties, right and left, the endless fights over the budget, the logjams in the legislature, the fragile and fractious coalitions. German voters increasingly yearned for someone to cut through it all and get something — anything — done,” he wrote, playing the Hitler card which has saturated mainstream media coverage of Trump.

“The Trump administration will be filled with people who will not need explicit instruction from Trump, any more than Hitler’s local gauleiters needed instruction. In such circumstances, people ‘work toward the Führer,’ which is to say, they anticipate his desires and seek favor through acts they think will make him happy, thereby enhancing their own influence and power in the process,” Kagan claimed.

The neocon thinker also suggested that Trump could make himself a dictator for life if he chooses to do so.

“Trump might not want or need a third term, but were he to decide he wanted one, as he has sometimes indicated, would the 22nd Amendment block him any more effectively from being president for life than the Supreme Court, if he refused to be blocked?” Kagan asks. “Why should anyone think that amendment would be more sacrosanct than any other part of the Constitution for a man like Trump, or perhaps more importantly, for his devoted supporters?”

Kagan’s likening of Trump to Hitler risks egging on some mentally unstable leftist who could resort to violence to take him out before he comes to power, a very dangerous dog whistle according to former Democrat congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.

“By claiming ‘Trump will be like Hitler,’ neocons & Dem establishment rationalize their weaponizing of govt agencies, embolden those in power to further abuse their power, and may encourage a lone wolf to do what people say should have been done to Hitler before he took power. We must send a very direct & clear message at the voting booth that we completely reject these anti-Americans,” Gabbard wrote on X, formerly Twitter, also expressing her concerns to Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

Kagan, an esteemed member of the corrupt establishment, was one of the driving forces for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan during the Bush era, and with his wife Victoria Nuland quarterbacking the Ukraine debacle under the Biden regime, he remains a prominent voice for the D.C. warmongers to whom the lives of real Americans have little value.

What was once the nation’s most prestigious newspapers saw fit to print a prominent op-ed likening the top opposition candidate to Hitler – a former president no less – shows that the domestic media is much more in line with the press as envisioned by Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels than that of a free society.

For all the invoking of Der Führer to describe Trump by Kagan and his fellow travelers, it is they who have consistently used methods right out of the Nazi playbook in their hostile takeover of America.
