'Total free for all': Dem intros bill to replace DHS with ‘Department of Community Safety’

It’s getting hard to argue that illegal immigration is NOT the very lifeblood of today’s Democratic Party, given the actions of Democrat politicians.

The party is growing more brazen in its attempts to block U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, aggressively running interference to protect violent criminal noncitizens from being deported.

But few have gone as far as U.S. Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL), who just introduced legislation that would completely dismantle the Department of Homeland Security, abolish ICE, and replace the agency with the “Department of Community Safety.”

That’s according to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, who reported on the details of the bill in a post on X.

“The bill would also abolish CBP, which means getting rid of Border Patrol & customs officers at ports of entry at land borders, airports, and sea ports,” Melugin wrote. “This would result in completely open borders with no federal agency left to screen or detain people coming into the country both legally and illegally.”

In a follow-up post, Melugin added: “A reminder, an overwhelming amount of the drugs & fentanyl smuggled into the U.S. come into the country via vehicles at ports of entry with Mexico. Ramirez wants to eliminate the agency responsible for screening those vehicles & seizing the narcotics. (CBP). Total free for all.”

The proposal offers a whole new meaning to open borders, but it’s about what you’d expect from a radical Democrat who proudly declares herself an “anchor baby” and has called ICE a “terrorist organization.”

Ramirez traveled to Mexico City for the second annual Pan-American Congress in August and declared, “I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American.”

Then again, it’s not all that surprising that the daughter of illegal immigrant parents, and the wife of a DACA recipient, has no true allegiance to America.
