Despite admitting to raping a 14-year-old boy in New York last year, a trans illegal alien was handed a six-month sentence and credited with time served.
Nicol Alexandra Contreras-Suarez, a 31-year-old biological male from Colombia, was given a slap on the wrist for the horrific 2025 crime, sparking outrage from the victim’s family and a victims’ rights group.
“The convicted rapist was promised a sentence of just six months, which has already been served, a sweetheart deal even by existing statutory standards,” the New York Post reported. “The contemptible pervert, who was born male, is scheduled to be freed next month unless federal authorities are able to intervene and remove them from the country.”

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Contreras-Suarez was arrested in 2023 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection after illegally entering the country. Before the brutal attack of the young boy in an East Harlem bodega, the illegal alien was already facing prostitution, robbery, and weapons charges in Massachusetts, but was released at that time “due to local sanctuary policies.”
“We expect the defendant to remain detained and be deported following sentencing, due to the felony conviction,” a spokesperson for DA Alvin Bragg’s office said in a statement.
“This boy’s life will never be the same and all this guy gets is 6 months. Total societal decay,” former assistant secretary for public affairs Tricia McLaughlin posted on social media.
On April 27 this rapist is set to go free after spending just *6 months* in jail for stalking, attacking and raping a 14 year old boy in a Manhattan bodega.

Former prosecutors expressed their shock to the New York Post after the plea deal Contreras-Suarez secured from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
“Traditionally, somebody who is preying upon a child, following them into a location and raping them — that’s a terrible crime,” said Mark Bederow, a New York City defense attorney and former prosecutor in the Manhattan DA’s office, calling a six-month jail term for the assault “extraordinarily low.”
“Normally, the minimum for this crime would be two years, unless there are circumstances found by the court, which they would put on the record, to allow a lesser sentence,” he said.
“I don’t know what those were in this case, other than the fact they wanted to spare the child from testifying and the defendant was going to be deported,” he said. “It’s just not a good look for the DA, justifying making a light sentence because the person is scheduled to be deported, because many people are not.”
“I didn’t know you could get six months on this,” former prosecutor Seth Zuckerman told the outlet. “It’s generally a minimum of two and a maximum of seven, so I think something must be wrong here.”
“Let’s not pretend this sentence reflects real justice. It doesn’t. It sends a dangerous message that even the most horrific crimes against children won’t be met with the full weight of the law,” Jennifer Harrison, founder of the advocacy group Victims’ Rights NY, told the Post. “And what message does that send beyond this case? That predators can come into New York, rape a child, destroying their lives, and still expect leniency.”
