‘Transformative’: Trump reduces federal workforce to its smallest level since 1966

President Donald Trump’s work to shrink the federal government is bearing some shocking fruit.

Following his inauguration in 2025, Trump worked to reduce the number of federal employees in an effort to shrink the size and negative impact of government in the lives of Americans. An X post from the official White House Rapid Response account indicates that this was not in vain.

Look:

“Under President Trump, the federal workforce has been reduced to its smallest level since 1966 — the lowest share of the total labor force in over a century,” the caption reads.

Outkick founder Clay Travis called it “transformative.”

In the last month, federal employment fell by another 18,000 jobs, reported The Hill opinion editor David Freddoso.
