Traveler takes United Airlines ‘fly the friendly skies’ literally, watches hardcore PORN during flight

A male passenger on a long-haul United Airlines flight took the company’s slogan of “fly the friendly skies” a bit too literally when he chose to pass away the time watching hardcore pornography on his smartphone in view of other passengers, including children who could have been exposed to the dirty videos.

Despite being asked to stop playing the sexually graphic content by a flight attendant, the unidentified passenger reportedly temporarily stopped and then resumed his enjoyment of the lewd material with the sound turned on, not even having the decency to put on a pair of headphones or earbuds to prevent the grunts and groans from being heard by others in the business class section.

The story drew attention when another passenger whose Twitter bio identifies herself as a mom with four boys took to the social media platform with her account of what went down on the flight.

“@united Are there no consequences for watching porn on your planes? This man watched porn on and off for most of the flight. The flight attendant did tell him “you can’t watch that” after I complained & showed him these pics that I took from my seat. Cont…,” she wrote along with pictures of the culprit in action.

“He did stop, but only temporarily,” she added. “There were people up and about in the cabin including minors who could have seen what this man was doing. I’m happy to give you the flight # and his seat # if you’re willing to take further action. As a woman, this behavior made me feel unsafe!”

A representative for United Airlines responded to her on Twitter, reaching out for additional information.

“Hi there. We’re truly sorry that this has been your experience. This is very concerning to hear. When you have a moment, please DM your confirmation number and flight details so we can look into this and pass this along to the appropriate teams,” the airline rep wrote, asking her to provide details via direct messaging.

In another tweet, the female passenger wrote, “I worry about flying international, especially in Polaris, where I spend many hours sleeping if the man in front of me is openly watching hardcore porn… with the sound on!”
