DOGE co-chair Elon Musk has accused “super patriot” Alexander Vindman of being a traitor who’s being paid by Ukrainian oligarchs.
Vindman is, as previously reported, the Trump-era Ukraine impeachment “whistleblower” whom the late Rush Limbaugh mockingly referred to as a “super patriot” given the left’s adoration for him.
Vindman played a crucial role in triggering Trump’s first impeachment by raising concerns about Trump’s otherwise “perfect” phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in 2019.
Ever since Trump’s failed impeachment, Vindman has been accusing practically everybody of being Russian President Vladimir Putin’s puppet. That tradition continued unabated last month on MSNBC, where he proceeded to smear Musk.
Listen:
Alexander Vindman has accused Elon Musk of divulging state secrets to Vladimir Putin, and that the real reason he supports Trump is because Putin ordered him to do so. pic.twitter.com/WAFjL3RKue

“Clearly, Putin has a type,” he began. “He likes narcissists and egomaniacs that he knows as a case officer he can easily pander to and manipulate to do his dirty work. We are under attack. Russia has been using different levers — whether that’s corruption networks, in this case, it’s influencers like Donald Trump, like Elon Musk, to really kind of sow discord.”
“It’s particularly troubling with Elon Musk in this case because Elon Musk has access to state secrets, he has top-secret security clearance. It’s possible that some of that is seeping through. Putin has been very effective in playing both Trump and Elon. And he’s been using the richest man in the world to do his bidding. In some cases, that’s encouraging him probably to support Donald Trump. That’s not speculation. We see how far-in Elon has gone. And then using Twitter as a disinformation platform,” he added.
It was in response to this libelous rant that Musk, who’d clearly had enough, decided to fight fire with fire.
“Vindman is on the payroll of Ukrainian oligarchs and has committed treason against the United States, for which he will pay the appropriate penalty,” he tweeted Wednesday afternoon.

The stunning tweet prompted an outpouring of agreement.

Vindman is a treasonous traitor.

Vindman and his family are traitors to America. He’s the traitor that lied about President Trump in his first term.

We witnessed for ourselves, Vindman committing Treason at the phony Impeachment Hearings.
He went outside his chain of command (the President is CIC) and then lied on top of it.

For whatever reason, @AVindman thinks it’s still 2022 and that there’s a mob out there that will support his lies. Someone should let him know, treason ends today and it has consequences.

The Vindman Crime Family has committed treason against a sitting president and this country, they are truly dangerous traitors who need to go to prison for a long time. They incited this war in Ukraine and should pay a price for all the deaths they helped cause

Vindman for his part wasn’t pleased.
“Elon, here you go again making false and completely unfounded accusations without providing any specifics,” he tweeted in response without any self-awareness. “That’s the kind of response one would expect from a conspiracy theorist. What oligarch? What treason?”
“Let me help you out with the facts: I don’t take/have never taken money from any money from oligarchs Ukrainian or other otherwise,” he added.
He continued by writing that he simply runs a nonprofit “to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia’s unprovoked attack on Feb 24, 2022.”
He then touted his military service and claimed his efforts during Trump’s first impeachment were on the up and up.
“I served in the military for nearly 22 years and my loyalty is to supporting the U.S. Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic,” he wrote. “That’s why I reported presidential corruption when I witnessed an effort to steal an election. That report was in classified channels and when called by Congress to testify about presidential corruption I did so, as required by law.”
“You, Elon, appear to believe you can act with impunity and are attempting to silence your critics. I’m not intimidated,” he concluded.

Unlike Musk’s tweet, Vindman’s tweet received an outpouring of criticism.
“Vindman: Tucker Carlson, JD Vance, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump are all agents of Russia,” one critic wrote, mocking Vindman’s habit of smearing everybody. “Do you ever stop and think of how stupid you sound?”
