Frowning on freedoms, Canada’s prime minister took aim at “American MAGA-influenced thinking” after legislators opposed leftist add-ons to Ukraine aid.
The same globalist unity that stirred calls to “build back better” appeared to manifest a bogeyman in the red hat-wearing populism that originated with former President Donald Trump’s initial run for the White House. Invoking the “Make America Great Again” slogan turned movement, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took aim at his conservative countrymen for allegedly falling victim to the ideology.
Following a Tuesday vote to update the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) to allegedly include the Ukrainian imposition of a carbon tax, Trudeau, who had previously demonstrated vitriol for freedoms in opposing the truckers rallying against COVID mandates, blasted American “right-wing” thinking leaching into the north and the supposed parroting of “Russian disinformation and misinformation.”
“The real story is the rise of a right-wing, American MAGA-influenced thinking that has made Canadian Conservatives — who used to be among the strongest defenders of Ukraine, I’ll admit it — turn their backs on something Ukraine needs in its hour of need,” the prime minister said, despite the update successfully passing with a vote of 205-109.

Trudeau expressed how he considered it troubling “that suddenly the Conservative Party of Canada would choose to not stand with Ukraine in something that they need, that the Ukraine has asked for, and to use the frankly absurd excuse that it’s because Ukraine will be bringing in a price on pollution in the coming years. Obviously that’s an excuse, but it’s not the real story.”
Speaking with the press Wednesday, Canadian Conservative Party Leader and candidate for prime minister Pierre Poilievre contended, “I really think it speaks to how pathologically obsessed Trudeau is with the carbon tax that, while the knife is at the throat of Ukrainians, he would use that to impose his carbon tax ideology on those poor people.”
“The last thing they need is a carbon tax when they’re trying to rebuild from war, and from this illegal invasion by Russia,” he asserted with maintained support for the war-torn nation.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group Liberal MP Yvan Baker suggested Poilievre’s stance was quite the opposite as he was accused of “never” promoting “military, humanitarian, or financial support for Ukraine.”
“Ukraine is already signed on to have a carbon tax because Ukraine has to do that to be a member of the EU and the EU already had carbon pricing in place,” Baker said to the press. “The carbon tax language that’s in the agreement doesn’t require Ukraine to do anything. “It’s just a commitment to work to fight climate change, which we should all be able to get behind.”
While President Joe Biden has readily maligned so-called “extreme MAGA Republicans” at every opportunity, rhetoric has continued to ramp up with “Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade recently pointing out rampant comparisons of Trump to Adolf Hitler.
“Guess what they’ve already done? They’ve called Trump Hitler 13 times over the weekend!” he presented. “Hillary Clinton kicked it off on ‘The View.’ So how much? After a while, people stop hearing it, they become numb to it. They’re trying to rip Trump down because they believe he’s going to be the nominee.”
Social media users slammed Trudeau for “gaslighting” not only because the language of the legislation appeared to speak for itself, but for acting like “the most holiest, noble people on the planet.. when they’re really some of the most evil beings on the planet.”
I love how progressive liberals & left wing politicians speak like they’re the most holiest, noble people on the planet.. when they’re really some of the most evil beings on the planet.. They love to bash conservatives & call them extreme & dangerous.. Justin Trudeau is even…

Canadians are really starting to wake up to the level of gaslighting coming from the WEF controlled administration.
Hope people watch this clip carefully.

Said the same thing about Muslim parents who had questions about parental rights. And he was galavanting around the country going to every LGBTQIA event available. Until he realized the Muslim vote really doesn’t care for that kind of thing.
