The vice president’s key responsibility took another scathing blow on the campaign trail as a Trump-aligned PAC asserted she “fails that test.”

Since President Joe Biden was supplanted by the Democratic Party with Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee, identity politics and fearmongering have thrived alongside talking point rhetoric. But, as “Biden’s Border Czar” attempted to distance herself from that charge while shamelessly self-promoting her “record,” one political action committee brought receipts to battleground states.
As part of an ad campaign targeting Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, the Preserve America super PAC released a spot featuring Art Del Cueto, the National Border Patrol Council vice president, slamming Harris for open border policies.
“America needs a commander-in-chief who’s tough on illegal immigration. Kamala Harris fails that test,” he asserted as he called her out in no uncertain terms. “Kamala was Biden’s Border Czar.”
“She supported sanctuary cities and taxpayer benefits for illegal immigrants. And she created the worst border crisis in American history. Kamala Harris is dangerous,” he added as the thirty-second spot featured an appearance from then-California Sen. Harris on ABC’s “The View” in Aug. 2019.
“We’re not gonna treat people who are undocumented crossing the border as criminals, that’s correct. That is correct,” she had said a few months before suspending her bid for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination.
Fox News was told by a source familiar with her intent that billionaire Miriam Adelson, who with her late husband Sheldon Adelson had contributed $90 million to Preserve America in 2020, intended to chip in even more for the 2024 election. Adelson is a controlling shareholder in the Las Vegas Sands and the PAC had informed the outlet that $10 million was being spent on the battleground state ad blitz running from the Olympics through Labor Day.
Meanwhile, at the free Megan Thee Stallion concert sold as a rally for the vice president in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday, Harris had attempted to fault former President Donald Trump for his support of squashing the dead on-arrival “bipartisan” border deal that the establishment had attempted to push through Congress earlier in the year.
“In this campaign, I will proudly put my record against his any day of the week,” she told the crowd and suggested the GOP leader “has been talking a big game about securing our border, but he does not walk the walk.”
Invoking the border deal that would have allowed thousands of illegal crossings into the country daily before shutting down entry instead of having a target of zero, Harris lauded the failed legislation and accused Trump of “tank[ing] the bipartisan deal because he thought it would help him win an election.”
“It was all set to pass, but at the last minute Trump directed his allies in the Senate to vote it down,” she spun before asserting, “as the president, I will bring back the border security bill that Donald Trump killed.”
The Trump campaign shared a clip of the vice president’s remarks with the caption, “Kamala is actually *BRAGGING* about her record on immigration. HERE ARE THE FACTS: As Border Czar, Kamala ferried 15+ million illegals directly into our communities. She thinks illegal immigration ‘is NOT a crime.’ She wants to abolish ICE. She thinks you’re stupid.”
