Democrats and their stooges in the media are closing ranks to protect one of their own while former President Donald J. Trump is calling for Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) to be prosecuted like the January 6 protesters were for disrupting the work of Congress.
On Saturday, the male “Squad” member decided that it would be a great idea if he set off a fire alarm while the clock was ticking down on a stopgap funding bill to prevent the shutdown of the federal government, another example of the disdain that the new crop of activist Democrats have for the dignity of the House of Representatives.
Like many other Republicans, the 2024 GOP frontrunner is wondering whether the volatile and unpredictable Bowman will be made to suffer the consequences for his actions or if it will be yet another example of the two sets of rules that now exist, one for privileged and protected leftists and another for conservatives, especially when it comes to his supporters.

“Will Congressman Jamal Bowman be prosecuted and imprisoned for very dangerously pulling and setting off the main fire alarm system in order to stop a Congressional vote that was going on in D.C. His egregious act is covered on tape, a horrible display of nerve and criminality. It was a very dangerous ‘Obstruction of an Official Proceeding,’ the same as used against our J-6 prisoners. Actually, his act may have been worse. HE MUST SUFFER THEIR SAME FATE. WHEN WILL HIS TRIAL BEGIN???” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
It’s unknown what was going through the congressman’s mind when he yanked the alarm, seemingly without considering that the Cannon House Office Building where he committed the crime is closely watched by video cameras and considering the security after the so-called “insurrection,” his act was as dumb as it was completely devoid of self-awareness.

The culprit was quickly determined when Capitol Police released surveillance video images and he was busted for interfering with the business of Congress, something that people of the wrong political persuasion have been rotting in a special D.C. jail for.
With it quickly becoming clear that he let his emotions get the best of him, Bowman played dumb, issuing a statement denying that he meant to trigger the fire alarm and that it was a mistake.

“I want to personally clear up confusion surrounding today’s events. Today, as I was rushing to make a vote, I came to a door that is usually open for votes but today would not open.” Bowman said in a statement. “I am embarrassed to admit that I activated the fire alarm, mistakenly thinking it would open the door. I regret this and sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused.”
Bowman’s “Squad” leader predictably had his back, explaining that it was a completely innocent mistake to an incredulous Jake Tapper.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who was menaced by Bowman earlier this year, also called for him to be prosecuted using the same law that was used against the mostly peaceful Capitol protesters.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) called for Bowman to be expelled from the House for his fire alarm antics.
“This is the United States Congress, not a New York City high school. This action warrants expulsion & I’m introducing a resolution to do just that,” the congresswoman said on X.
