President Donald J. Trump called for the impeachment of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) over the Democrat lawmaker’s attack on the Supreme Court following last week’s ruling against racial gerrymandering.
Democrats collectively blew their stacks when the 6-3 conservative majority shot down a racially rigged Louisiana congressional district map, a major blow to the party’s bread and butter of redrawing districts to take advantage of their dominant advantage with black voters, a vital strategy to seize and hold political power.
Jeffries decried the ruling, which narrowed the scope of the Voting Rights Act, a civil rights era law that may have once been necessary to address discrimination but has been cynically abused for decades, as “unacceptable” and branded the high court’s conservative justices as “illegitimate.”
The New York City Democrat’s unseemly and inappropriate remarks drew a strong rebuke from the president, who urged Republicans to give Jeffries the boot.
Trump: “Hakeem Jeffries, a Low IQ individual, said our Supreme Court is ‘illegitimate.’ After saying such a thing, isn’t he subject to Impeachment? I got impeached for A PERFECT PHONE CALL. Where are you Republicans? Why not get it started? They’ll be doing this to me! President… pic.twitter.com/LnuIHXw455

“Hakeem Jeffries, a Low IQ individual, said our Supreme Court is ‘illegitimate.’ After saying such a thing, isn’t he subject to Impeachment? I got impeached for A PERFECT PHONE CALL. Where are you Republicans? Why not get it started? They’ll be doing this to me!” Trump wrote in a Sunday evening post to Truth Social.
“Today’s decision by this illegitimate Supreme Court majority strikes a blow against the Voting Rights Act and is designed to undermine the ability of communities of color all across this country to elect their candidate of choice,” the minority leader fumed as he threw down the race card after the ruling came down.
“This isn’t even really the Roberts Court. It’s the Trump Court,” Jeffries said during a press conference. “And what we would expect from the Trump Court is an effort to continue their scheme to suppress the vote and rig the midterm elections and beyond. Because these extremists have failed America in every possible way.”
“They failed on the economy, they failed on healthcare, they’re failing as it relates to this reckless and costly war of choice. The extremists have completely and totally failed America. So they’ve concluded, aided and abetted by the Trump Court, that they have to cheat to win,” he added.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black when it comes to cheating.
The invalidated district had the appearance of a “snake” that stretched more than 200 miles from Shreveport to Baton Rouge and was drawn to pack in as many blacks as possible, to give the Democrats an unfair electoral advantage.
Trump put his stamp of approval on the 6-3 decision, calling it the “kind of ruling I like.”
The minority leader reacted to Trump’s post by labeling it as “Jeffries Derangement Syndrome.”

Fortunately for Jeffries, the Constitution doesn’t allow for him to be impeached, although he can be removed by a two-thirds vote to expel him from Congress.
In another recent Truth Social post, Trump described Jeffries as a “thug” and a “danger to our country,” sharing a pic of the trash-talking congressman brandishing a baseball bat like the tough guy he will never be.
