Trump calls on Jeanine Pirro to ‘revisit’ decision not to prosecute, cites new vandalism photos

President Donald Trump has urged Jeanine Pirro, his top federal prosecutor in D.C., to “revisit” her decision regarding a former Olympic athlete whom the admin had accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Former Olympic canoeist David Hearn was arrested and accused of damaging the pool during a June 19 visit to D.C.

Speaking with The Washington Post after his arrest, he was adamant that he didn’t vandalize anything and had simply reached into the pool after detecting a piece of the “American flag blue” liner that was detached from the bottom.

“I didn’t vandalize anything,” he told the Post. “I didn’t destroy or break or peel anything. By the time I realized what was going on, I was being put in handcuffs.”

This evidently turned out to be the truth. Pirro dropped the charges against him last week after concluding that he hadn’t vandalized the pool and that the damage observed at the pool was from a botched installation.

In documents filed on July 31, her team said they’d recently received new information undermining their case against the former Olympic star.

“It was not until after these documents were produced that (prosecutors) first became aware of information showing that the damage was the result of a botched installation and not vandalism as initially represented,” they wrote.

After this announcement, Trump initially lashed out at her, accusing her of having “choked”:

Citing this tweet, the president argued that Pirro needs to “revisit” the vandalism case asap.

“Now that people are able to see it up close, they are reporting pure VANDALISM at The Reflecting Pool,” he wrote. “Thank you Andrew Leyden for your observation! The material was cut right where the video tape showed, for 300 feet or more. People were on their knees with their hands in the water at the exact location of the ‘slashes.'”

“Additionally, there were witnesses to the VANDALISM, and the flexible areas of the material were cut with a knife. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro should re-visit her hastily made decision, especially since it turned out that the ‘gentleman’ involved is a big player in ActBlue,” he added.

According to Fox News, Hearn does indeed have ties to ActBlue.

“Hearn, 67, donated to Democratic fundraising apparatus ActBlue 10 times while also contributing to Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns five times,” the outlet has confirmed.

In his Truth Social post, the president also slammed Hearn’s attorney, leftist “political hack lawyer” Norm Eisen, whom he called a “TRUMP DERANGED SLEAZEBAG.”

“I have been beating Eisen, a complete LUNATIC, in Court for 10 years, or more. He just keeps coming, but I always WIN!” the president added.

Last year, Eisen and his firm, Democracy Defenders Action, announced that both his organization and the Washington Litigation Group would be representing an aggrieved Democrat lawmaker who’d sued the president and the Trump-Kennedy Center Board members over the facility’s renaming.
