Former President Donald Trump has added another rapper to the growing list of artists who have endorsed his bid to reclaim the White House.
The Trump campaign celebrated the endorsement with a social media post touting the backing of Waka Flocka Flame, the 37-year-old singer whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs. The image of Trump and the rapper was posted on X, formerly Twitter by the campaign on Monday.

The posts came after Waka Flocka Flame declared his backing of the former president in an earlier tweet that boldly declared, “TRUMP2024.”

He joined a vocal group of rappers who have already been public with their support of the former president’s bid to retake the White House in 2024, including Lil Pump, Chief Keef, and Kanye West, who now uses the name Ye.
The endorsement tweet is pinned to Waka Flocka Flame’s X account and he later shared a photo of himself with the former president, with the hashtag “#NewProfilePic” to his nearly two million followers.

Earlier this year, the “Hard In Da Paint” rapper revealed that the traumatic experience of getting shot and robbed at the car wash back in 2010 shifted his perspective on life and set him on a different course that ultimately led to his musical success.
“I thank God for that, too. That was a blessing, because that weekend, I was making like a quarter million [dollars],” he told Shannon Sharpe’s podcast in January. “I was going to buy some bricks and some pounds. And that’s God that stopped me. I thank God because I was arrogant as f**k. It turned me dark all the way… That Waka died that day, too.”
The artist, whose “Flockaveli” and “Triple F Life” releases reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart, was not always so enthusiastic about Trump. He tweeted “F— Donald Trump” back in 2015 before the presidential election that catapulted the real estate billionaire into the White House.
But the rapper was given a lifetime achievement award in 2020 that was reportedly signed by Trump before he left office, prompting Waka Flocka Flame to post on Instagram at the time, “S/O to my president!”

The honor, given to the rapper for his philanthropy and for volunteering with the Chicago non-profit Daughter of Destiny Outreach, was presented by his pastor and mentor and was seen in a video posted by TMZ.
Waka Flocka Flame’s endorsement of Trump for the 2024 election was largely met with agreement on his X post, with many calling for others to jump on the Trump Train as recent reports have indicated that black voters are disillusioned with President Joe Biden and his administration, and may not be supporting him in 2024.
You know it Waka. Trump is that money man who is going to take us from poverty to prosperity!
