Former President Donald J. Trump continues to pound away at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who in addition to being his top rival for the 2024 GOP nomination, hasn’t shown him the proper deference that he feels is owed to him from the rising Republican star.
The embattled ex-POTUS who is facing multiple legal threats from the Biden regime and its Democrat stooges sat down with former advisor Steve Bannon for a wide-ranging interview on the Friday edition of his show on Real America’s Voice.
When the topic inevitably turned to the Sunshine State Republican, who has yet to announce that he’s running, Trump sniped at DeSantis by referring to him with silly nicknames and claimed that he is “failing badly” and losing donors.
“DeSanctis is failing badly. Ron DeSanctimonious,” he said, referring to early polls showing him running away from the Republican field which has yet to fully take shape.
President @realDonaldTrump comments on Governor DeSantis’ rumored run for president, while DeSantis continues to trail heavily in the polls: “The donors are largely leaving [Ron DeSantis] now.”

“I mean, you know, it’s always bad, you endorse somebody. He’s dead, he’s, he’s over, his political career, he’s going to be looking for a job. They’ll be lucky to get a job,” Trump continued.
Comes to me, begs me for an endorsement, I give it to him, he ends up winning the election, winning the nomination, winning the election by numbers that you wouldn’t believe,” he said, referring to the 2018 gubernatorial election where DeSantis narrowly defeated Democrat Andrew Gillum whose own political career ended after a drug-fueled romp with a homosexual prostitute in a Miami Beach hotel room.
“I mean, he was so far down, he was gone. And then they shout to him a couple of years later, Will you run against the president? ‘I have no comment.’ Now, no comment means the answer is yes, right?” Trump continued. “But today a very interesting thing happened. He said he’s going to form a committee. He’s going to form a…”
“Exploratory,” Bannon jumped in with the word that Trump was looking for.
“Exploratory committee to determine, well, that’s a big step because he was never looking at committees. Now he’s looking at committees. It’s amazing what being 40 down does,” Trump said, adding, “But the donors are largely leaving him now, you know.”
“But what’s happening is the donors are calling me right now because the donors follow the polls and when they see a guy getting clobbered…,” Trump said.
A report by Politico suggests that Trump is missing something and that his prediction of DeSantis’ demise just might be greatly exaggerated.
“As he prepares to enter the presidential race in the coming weeks, DeSantis sits atop accounts poised to support his candidacy that total more than $110 million, according to public filings and people who represent the entities,” according to the outlet. The amount reportedly doubles Trump’s war chest.
Trump and other GOP hopefuls like Nikki Haley are looking to hit DeSantis hard before he jumps in with both of them siding with groomer-enabling entertainment giant Disney in its war against the Florida leader, a stance that could backfire by fracturing the base with the result being four more years for Joe Biden to finish the job of destroying the country.
