Trump comments on exchange with Elon Musk Charlie Kirk’s memorial

President Donald Trump reacted to meeting with X owner Elon Musk at Charlie Kirk’s memorial in Arizona.

The pair experienced an infamous falling out several months ago, but Sunday’s friendly exchange in Trump’s box at the State Farm Stadium leaves many with the hope of reconciliation.

The pleasantly surprising interaction became the talk of the internet, and one reporter pressed the president for more details during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One.

“Well, Elon came over and said hello. And, no, it’s nothing to do with that. It was — I thought it was nice. And he came over. Had a little conversation. We had a very good relationship. But it was nice that he came,” Trump said before redirecting attention to a UFC fight at the White House.

The pair’s previously strong bond was severed when Musk accused Trump of withholding the Epstein files over the summer, and even threatened to start a third political party in protest. Trump did not fire back with his usual vigor, but did imply that his administration may be interested in taking a look at any government contracts with Musk’s companies.

But now, it would appear that they are at least back on cordial speaking terms, which has X buzzing:
