President Donald J. Trump delivered what was described online as a “masterclass” on how to respond to what amounted to a loaded question about U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
AOC took to the world stage last week, perhaps to showcase that she is presidential timber, but turned in a disastrous performance, despite widespread praise from the usual suspects in the media.
Trump was asked about earlier criticism he leveled at the socialist lawmaker while aboard Air Force One, and the president was very blunt in his response.
“Well, her performance was horrible,” the president replied. “I was surprised, actually, I didn’t know she was stupid.”

Earlier in the day, Trump described AOC as a “young, attractive woman” who was “unable to answer questions,” suggesting that her response to a question about Taiwan “could be a career-ending answer.”
In a follow-up, the reporter asked, “So how would you have answered the question that she was asked about whether the U.S. should support Taiwan if they’re attacked by China?”
“Well, I would have just said that it’s none of your business right now because I wouldn’t answer that question anyway,” Trump replied. “I wouldn’t respond to a question like that. That’s war when it comes to war, you don’t talk about your strategy.”
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Masterclass response. And the President is right: you don’t ignorantly shoot your mouth off on a matter of ultimate national security and diplomatic strategy.

This could perhaps be the best answer ever given by a president to a reporter.

His blunt directness is what people wanted and it’s why he’s in power.
Folk were fed up with scripted politicians.
Fair play to him 🤣

The fact that she didn’t just do this is the bigger issue. This was an easy out… but she gets such complimentary press that she feels no threat or hesitation about fumbling. Any politician at her level should understand strategic ambiguity… but not her.

And @AOC is much too foolish to understand that you don’t reveal battle tactics and strategy to the entire world. And you certainly don’t reveal them in advance, ahead of time, giving them the advantage of plotting their own in response. @TulsiGabbard probably laughed until tears…

People can learn a lot from President Trump.
AOC should be studying President Trump instead of crashing out on X over her disasterous performance in Europe.
