Trump encourages ‘badass’ Marjorie Taylor Greene to mount Senate run: ‘I would fight like hell for you’

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s political career could include a promotion to the U.S. Senate, at least if former President Trump has any say in the matter and he sang her praises during a speech delivered to supporters at Waco, Texas on Saturday.

The 2024 GOP frontrunner kicked off his latest round of rallies with a trip to the Lone Star State where he delivered a rousing and defiant address to thousands of patriotic Americans who turned out on a sunny spring day at the Waco Regional Airport to see what was billed as the first of his third campaign for the White House.

At one point, when discussing the future of the GOP, Trump gave a shout-out to the fiery Republican lawmaker from Georgia who also spoke at the rally, strongly suggesting that she was Senate material and vowing that he would “fight like hell” for her if she chooses to run for the upper chamber.

While criticizing the lack of fight in many of the current crop of congressional Republicans including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who he mentioned by name, the former POTUS gave a shout-out to Taylor Greene who he clearly believes possesses the mettle for the job.

“Would you like to run for the Senate?” Trump said during his speech. “I would fight like hell for you.”

He also described MTG as a “badass,” a term that wouldn’t be applicable to McConnell or many others in a feckless, milquetoast bunch who have been steamrolled by Democrats in recent years. “People do not realize how brilliant she is,” Trump said of Taylor Greene. “She is just a badass.”

“Republicans do have to get tougher — I agree, Mr. President!!” Taylor Greene tweeted in response.

She also praised Trump’s recognition of the Americans who have been locked up as political prisoners in the special Washington D.C. jail where they are being held under deplorable conditions that some have likened to a communist Chinese gulag for their presence at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, the day of the so-called “insurrection” that Democrats and the Biden regime have used as justification for their sweeping crackdown on political dissent.

“Thank you for standing up for the J6 political prisoners in the DC Jail, President Trump. The conditions they are suffering are worse than Guantanamo Bay,” tweeted MTG. “We must end the Democrats’ two-tiered justice system!”

The congresswoman has been one of her party’s top critics of the human rights abuses being inflicted upon the detainees and led a bipartisan House delegation that visited the facility on Friday.

In her own speech to the crowd at Waco, Taylor Greene called for dramatic action against the Mexican drug cartels that have been flooding the country with criminals and illegal drugs, including fentanyl which has killed tens of thousands of Americans a year.

“We should be bombing the Mexican cartels and defending our border,” she said, “not funding a war in Ukraine defending their border!”

The Republican lawmaker tweeted out a picture of her with legendary rocker Ted Nugent who performed a scorching rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner in the warmup to Trump’s speech along with a number of classic hits from his decades-long musical career.

The Motor City madman also had harsh remarks about Ukraine, tuning up the wartorn country’s pushy ingrate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who he called a “homosexual weirdo” during a rant about the state of America under the nation’s current leadership.

If Taylor Greene is to pursue a Senate career, the earliest that it could happen – barring unforeseen circumstances – will be in 2026 when Democrat Jon Ossoff is up for reelection. The Peach State’s other Dem senator, anti-white, pro-abortion radical cleric Raphael Warnock was just elected to a full six-year term in a special election, beating out his GOP opponent, former NFL star running back Herschel Walker who was endorsed by Trump.
