Trump explains why Iran war will likely end AFTER midterm elections

President Donald Trump is predicting the Iran conflict could come to an end after the midterms.

On Saturday, the president revealed that he believes the war will come to an end quickly following the midterm elections, resulting in lower gas prices. Speaking to reporters in Ireland, he accused the country of doing its best to withstand American attacks as a way of complicating the election.

Watch:

“I think very soon, I think it will be, probably, right after the midterms,” he said. “They are trying to hold out as long as they can to complicate the election, but I think people are wise to it because Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. It’s very simple.”

“They were two weeks away from having a nuclear weapon. If they had it, they would have blown up Israel, they would have blown up the Middle East, and they would have hit some of Europe’s, in my opinion, Europe’s cities and beyond cities,” he added. “And they would have probably hit us too before we put out the fire. But they cannot have a nuclear weapon.”

He made the same suggestion while speaking to Fox News’s Laura Ingraham:

“By the way, the war will end right after the midterms,” he said.

“If Republicans win. But if Republicans lose in the midterms, why would the Iran war end?” Ingraham asked.

“Well, I think a lot of people think if we lose, I’ll just be more angry and I’ll just take care of business, you know? That’s another way of doing it, but either way, they lose,” Trump responded.
