President Donald Trump’s visit to Texas wouldn’t have been complete without a trip to a local institution.
Popping into a Corpus Christi Whataburger location, Trump received a resounding welcome from an absolutely packed house. Excited patrons cheered, clapped, and expressed their love for the president as he bantered with them.

He also took time to speak to the staff working that day, including a woman who said that she’d been working there for 30 years.

After picking up order 47, Trump then paid for the orders of every customer in the store:

Trump was in the area to talk about American energy, holding a rally where he joked about making Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, a Supreme Court justice.
“And we have a senator who’s really an amazing guy, and I’m thinking of putting him in the Supreme Court. No, no, I’m thinking, because it’s very hard, getting these nominations through is very tough. He’s the only guy I know who can get 100% of the Democrat vote, 100% of the Republican vote, they wanna get him out of there. He is such a pain in the ass, but he’s so good and so talented, Ted Cruz,” Trump said to applause.
Cruz, a Harvard Law School graduate, has argued eight cases before the justices of the Supreme Court as solicitor general of Texas. When he returned to his private practice, he argued his ninth case.
He also thumbed his nose at irate leftists by discussing the possibility that he is “entitled” to a second term after Democrats “cheated like hell on the second one.”
“I’ve been here one year, a little bit more than one year now. Time flies, time flies. Maybe we should do one more term. Should we do one more?” Trump asked, to the audience’s cheers. “One more term! Well, we’re entitled to it ’cause they cheated like hell on the second one. We would actually be entitled to it.”
