Trump helps out mom of three at PA grocery store

Former President Donald Trump was busy campaigning in the battleground state of Pennsylvania on Monday, taking part in a town hall with local farmers in the town of Smithton before holding a rally in Indiana, PA.

While on his way to the rally, the 2024 Republican nominee stopped in at Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market, in Kittanning, drawing lots of attention when he randomly helped a mother of 3 pay for her groceries.

“Here, it’s going to go down a little bit. It just went down a hundred bucks,” Trump told the grateful mom while handing her a $100 bill. “We’ll do that for you from the White House, alright?”

After the woman thanked Trump, he praised her “beautiful” children, telling the woman, “Perfecto!”

Trump also scored a large bag of popcorn while in Sprangles.

While the Biden-Harris administration proclaimed inflation has been beaten, Consumer Affairs did a grocery price data analysis across 150,000 U.S. stores and found prices up 5.3% over the past year, with Pennsylvania seeing the largest increase of 8.2% over the past 12 months,

“It was just announced that Pennsylvania has the Highest Grocery Inflation Rate in the entire Nation,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “So, not only have they got you on No Fracking, High Taxes, Inflation, Horrible Border Policy, and everything else, Pennsylvania is Number One in the Grocery Price Increase – Not a distinction any State wants to have!”

Trump’s appearance at the grocery store drew quite a crowd of curious onlookers, as seen below:

Naturally, the left responded in a sour manner, accusing Trump of violating federal election laws with his act of generosity. To hear critics tell it, the candidate was openly buying votes in the battleground state.

The accusation may be the only way the incident gets any media attention, according to other more supportive responses seen on X:
