President Donald Trump took a swipe at House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries as the left rejects calls to tone down the national rhetoric.
Following the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Republicans and even the White House have urged cooling the political temperature, namely by calling on Democrats to stop referring to Trump in inflammatory terms. Of course, this was met with resistance and deflection as the left immediately pointed fingers at Trump, who has been the target of three assassination attempts, to victim-blame him for the attempts on his own life.
Well, the president isn’t backing down, and he proved it in a Truth Social post on Friday night.

“Low IQ Democrat Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, is nothing but a THUG, and he is a danger to our Country!” Trump posted, alongside a photo of Jeffries holding a baseball bat.
It would appear the feeling is mutual, after Jeffries doubled down on the “maximum warfare everywhere all the time” comments, which he says are in regard to redistricting efforts.
