Trump lowers the boom on ‘corrupt and unethical cowards’ at the NYT over Iran war report

President Donald J. Trump slammed the “corrupt and unethical cowards” at The New York Times over a story on the results of the Iran war, which may or may not be winding down.

In a scorching hot Father’s Day Truth Social blast, the commander in chief railed against the once venerable newspaper’s report titled, “What Changed After Almost Four Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much,” that was published on Sunday.

The report, which was penned by longtime NYT reporter Neil MacFarquhar, cites “skeptics” who are “expressing bafflement over what exactly has transformed,” arguing that the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program hasn’t been “eliminated” with “its fate punted to future negotiation.”

“The same goes for its ballistic missiles, which the deal does not address. Iran’s authoritarian regime endured, albeit with new leaders. Its proxies remain a threat to the region. Israel and Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militia in Lebanon, persisted in attacking each other,” wrote MacFarquhar, also stating that the status of the Strait of Hormuz remains unclear.

To put it lightly, the president is not a fan of the paper’s reporting.

“The headline in the Corrupt and Failing New York Times: ‘What Changed After Almost 4 Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much.’ REALLY?” Trump wrote.

“Their Military is DONE, their Navy is GONE, their Air Force is GONE, their Launching Pads, Missiles, Drones and Manufacturing of same, is almost GONE, their top two sets of Leaders are GONE, their Inflation is at 250%, their Economy is BROKEN, their Soldiers aren’t being paid, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN, THE OIL IS GUSHING, and the U.S. Stock Market and Jobs are at record HIGHS,” he continued. “That’s what’s CHANGED, you corrupt and unethical cowards, and MORE!!!”

In another post, the president suggested that the paper’s reporting bordered on treason and said that he would be adding the story to his lawsuit against the Times.

“The way the Corrupt and Failing New York Times is covering stories on a very battered and beat up Iran, through FAKE & MADE UP ‘FACTS’ is, in my opinion, ‘TREASONOUS.’ I will be adding all of their false and ridiculous reporting to my multi Billion Dollar lawsuit against them. They are Criminals!” Trump wrote.

The president sued the nation’s “newspaper of record” for $15 billion last fall, alleging defamation against him in articles and books by its reporters.
