Trump nullifies orders signed by ‘Sleepy Joe’ Biden’s autopen – threatens perjury charge

More than a reversal, President Donald Trump’s latest move regarding his predecessor’s use of the autopen put former President Joe Biden at risk of “charges of perjury.”

As the previous administration came to a close, many had decried attempts at protection offered for allies, only to learn later that preemptive pardons had been signed via the autopen. Now, after a White House investigation looked into which of all of the thousands of documents bearing Biden’s signature had actually been approved by him, Trump announced Friday that the vast majority are “hereby terminated.”

“Any document signed by Sleepy Joe Biden with the Autopen, which was approximately 92% of them, is hereby terminated, and of no further force or effect,” began a Truth Social post from the chief executive. “The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United States.”

“The Radical Left Lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office took the Presidency away from him. I am hereby cancelling all Executive Orders, and anything else that was not directly signed by Crooked Joe Biden, because the people who operated the Autopen did so illegally. Joe Biden was not involved in the Autopen process and, if he says he was, he will be brought up on charges of perjury. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” added the president, as attorney Rogan O’Handley shared the post indicating its application to pardons and special directives as well as executive orders.

The president had previously declared pardons signed by the autopen to be void and had specifically called out those regarding members of the January 6 Committee. The same rationale was applied to other blanket preemptive pardons that had been issued at the end of Biden’s administration for the likes of former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley and former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Meanwhile, with a concurrent investigation conducted by the House Oversight Committee, the chairman, Kentucky Rep. James Comer (R), took to X to laud the accountability brought by the White House.

“I applaud President Trump for deeming President Biden’s autopen actions NULL AND VOID. The House Oversight Committee recently exposed how the Biden Autopen Presidency is one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history,” detailed Comer. “As Americans witnessed President Biden’s decline with their own eyes, Biden’s inner circle sought to deceive the public, conceal his condition, and take unauthorized executive actions using the autopen–actions that are now invalid. The House Oversight Committee delivered crucial transparency, and now President Trump and his administration are delivering accountability.”

Efforts at exposing the use of the autopen had included testimony from the likes of former White House chiefs of staff Ron Klain and Jeffrey Zients, former senior adviser to the president Michael Donilon, former White House staff secretary Neera Tanden, former senior adviser for communications to the president Anita Dunn, and more who faced questioning about Biden’s cognitive decline.

The Oversight Committee, which had also questioned those with close access to the president as to whether anyone else had ever acted on his behalf, had similarly deemed executive actions bearing Biden’s name as “NULL and VOID.”

Looking ahead at the likelihood of a legal contest over Trump’s action, award-winning actor James Woods was among those cheering on the start of the process, “President Trump’s executive order to rescind the autopen scam perpetrated by conniving Democrats will have to wend its way through the courts all the way up to SCOTUS most likely. But this master of 3D chess has thrown down the gauntlet, and the process is now underway. Well done, Mr. President.”
