After excoriating “60 Minutes” over its latest interview of “Crooked Joe,” former President Donald Trump trolled the White House and corporate media with a head-to-head mashup.
Sunday evening, as bad actors undoubtedly watched President Joe Biden speak with CBS News’ Scott Pelley waiting for any offhand remark to justify an escalation of violence in the Middle East and elsewhere, his predecessor was taking the network to task for leading the president “like a lost child.”
Jumping at the opportunity to ridicule the same program where he had infamously sparred with Lesley Stahl about his campaign allegedly being spied on by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign, Trump shared a mashup from video editor MAZE that spliced him and Biden into a conversation with one another.
“We created the greatest economy in the history of our country,” began Trump before Biden was made to reply, “Well first of all, let’s put this in perspective.”
Stellar unemployment numbers from the previous administration were met with the incumbent stating, “Inflation rate month-to-month is up just an inch. Hardly at all.”
The mention of Clinton deleting 33,000 emails was set up for Biden to state, “How that could possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible?”
“And I thought, what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods,” he continued as the video cut to Trump making a surprised face.
Later, Biden appeared with rapt attention as his predecessor explained how his campaign was allegedly spied on before the incumbent concluded on the matter, “It’s wrong. It’s wrong. So wrong.”
“Think of how that has changed everything,” the montage presented the president saying before Trump asked, “What flavor ice cream do you want?”
“Do you think I would tell you if I knew exactly what it would be? Of course not,” the Biden clip answered.
Taking to Truth Social earlier, Trump had compared the new interview with those he’d had with “60 Minutes” in the past and likened it to an in-kind campaign contribution.
“The show ’60 Minutes’ should be ashamed of themselves. They just interviewed Crooked Joe Biden, and led him along like a lost child. Each question contained the answer, and was so weakly and apologetically asked that it was a JOKE which should be considered a campaign contribution to the Democrat Party,” he began.
“Why should CBS get free public airwaves for this highly partisan ‘show,’ which never apologized to me for the mistakes they made on the ‘Laptop from Hell?’ They are protecting Biden even though he is the most corrupt and incompetent President in the history of the United States,” Trump continued, referencing the squashed Hunter Biden story ahead of the 2020 election before appearing to reference the 1980 Iran hostage crisis under President Jimmy Carter.
“The Carter Administration looks absolutely brilliant by comparison. The only thing the Biden Regime does well is go after Crooked Joe’s political opponent, ME, but even that will fail,” he added. “The Middle East, Ukraine, Inflation, Bad Economy, the Open Border, Horrendous Afghanistan Embarrassment, Gas Prices, our great Autoworker Death March, & so much more, make Crooked Joe a total disaster for our once great USA. MAGA!”
While failures of the administration infuriated many as polling showed a large majority of voters were unhappy with the job Biden was doing, the levity of the video was appreciated by many.
