Trump questions Biden autopen signatures on many executive orders: ‘Maybe it’s not even valid’

President Donald Trump suggested that the former president’s signature being applied by autopen may change the validity of the many executive orders he “signed.”

Trump ripped into former President Joe Biden’s disastrous administration, specifically drawing attention to reports that many of the executive orders from his administration were signed with an autopen signature. According to the New York Post, an aide of the former president may have “exceeded their authority by liberally using an autopen to sign official documents, according to two former White House sources.” Critics argue this report bolsters suspicions that Biden’s cognitive decline affected his ability to carry out the duties of his office.

Trump also believes that executive orders signed with automated signatures may not be “valid.”

“Crooked Joe Biden got us into a real mess with Russia, and everything else he did, frankly,” Trump said. “But he didn’t know about it and he, generally speaking, signed it with autopen so how would he know? That autopen is a big deal, I don’t know. Who’s doing this?”

Then he gave an inside look into his own EO signing process.

“When my people come up, ‘Sir, this is an executive order’ they explain it to me and 90% of the time I sign it, 99% of the time I say ‘do it’ but they come up and I sign it,” he explained. “But you don’t use autopen. Number one, it’s disrespectful to the office and number two maybe it’s not even valid. Because, you know, who is getting him to sign? He had no idea what the hell he was doing. If he did, all of these bad things wouldn’t be happening.”
