Trump rails against judge’s ruling to take his businesses over ‘fraud’ in ‘THIS IS NOT AMERICA’ rant

Former President Donald Trump is raging mad at a judge who just delivered a “devastating” blow against his business empire.

On Tuesday, Judge Arthur Engoron one, ruled that Trump committed fraud by overinflating the value of his assets, and two, canceled the Trump Organization’s business certification.

“Engoron ordered that some of Trump’s business licenses be rescinded as punishment, making it difficult or impossible for them [the Trump family] to do business in New York,” the Associated Press explained.

“Experts” say the ruling is devastating for Trump.

“It’s a devastating ruling. If the decision is upheld, they have to liquidate the LLCs which actually hold the enormous bulk of the assets,” Bill Black of the University of Minnesota Law School told the New York Post.

Trump responded to the ruling by issuing two extremely lengthy, nearly all-CAPS statements bashing both Judge Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James, the latter of whom is responsible for bringing the case to the court.

In the first statement, he called Engoron a “deranged” and “highly politicized Democrat” judge and accused him of taking part in the “radical left” Democrats’ plan “to prevent me, and the American people, from winning the 2024 Presidential Election.”

“This is Democrat Political Lawfare, and a Witch Hunt at a level never seen before. It is an attempt to badly injure the opposing Party’s Leading, by far, Political Candidate,” he wrote.

“Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before. My Civil Rights have been violated, and some Appellate Court, whether Federal or State, must reverse this horrible, un-American decision. If they can do this to me, they can do this to YOU!” Trump added.

He also cited evidence to refute the notion that he’d overinflated his assets.

“As an example, this Democrat Operative valued Mar-a-Lago, the most spectacular and valuable property in Palm Beach, Florida, to be worth as low as $18 million, when in actuality, it could be worth almost 100 times that amount,” he wrote.

One of his sons, Eric Trump, later repeated this particular point in a tweet:

In the second, even lengthier statement, Trump laid out the “facts of this case.”

“1. I am worth much more than the numbers shown on my financial statements. 2. I didn’t even include my most valuable asset, my brand. 3. The banks were paid in back in full, sometimes early, there were no defaults, the banks made money, were represented by the best law firms, and were very ‘happy.’ There were no victims,”  he wrote.

“On the front page of the financial statements there is a strong ‘disclaimer clause’ telling all not to rely on these financial statements. The disclaimer clause tells anyone reviewing the data, including financial institutions, to do their own research and analysis — it is a non reliance clause, and could not be more clear,” he added.

And like before, he repeated the “witch hunt” rhetoric.

“It is a great company that has been slandered and maligned by this politically motivated Witch Hunt. It is very unfair, and I call for help from the highest Courts in New York State, or the Federal System, to intercede. THIS IS NOT AMERICA!” he concluded.

However, he’s already facing pushback — including even from high-level conservative voices like former Fox News contributor Judge Andrew Napolitano.

“The decision today is a final decision that fraud is proven, The judge made this decision on the basis of Trump’s own documents. The evidence is Trump’s own documentation,” Napolitano told the Post.

“These are indisputable facts — the case is based entirely on the documents his lenders and his insurance companies produced,” he added.

Members of the public aren’t so sure about the case and have raised their own concerns:
