Trump releases his own proof of ‘doctored’ interview after Piers Morgan pushes sensationally edited clip

Former President Donald Trump has released audio footage that appears to expose Fox Nation host Piers Morgan as nothing but a sleazy liar.

The audio footage is from the end of an interview that Morgan conducted with Trump, and that’s set to air on Fox News’ Fox Nation next Monday.

Trump released the audio footage after the British interviewer published a 30-second teaser that made it seem like the interview had ended badly, with Trump seemingly yelling “turn the cameras off” and then storming off set at the end after the two had argued over the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Watch the teaser below:

Morgan also published an op-ed in the New York Post doubling down on this narrative.

“Incensed Trump tried to end things by declaring, ‘That’s it!’ before I reminded him that we hadn’t discussed his hole-in-one, which he then sat down again and did — briefly — before abruptly jumping to his feet, looking hateful, and barking at the shocked crew: ‘TURN THE CAMERAS OFF!’ Then he turned on his heel, and sloped angrily off through a side door, loudly muttering, ‘SO dishonest …,'” he claimed.

But the audio footage from the actual interview tells an entirely different story. It begins with Trump’s assistant or aide telling Morgan, “We’re an hour in, so we need to wrap [it up],” to which he replied by promising to ask just a “few quick questions.”

He then proceeded to ask an endless series of questions that Trump amicably responded to, but that his aide began to find increasingly annoying.

On more than one occasion, Morgan promises he’s about to ask his last question. The aide eventually snaps and says, “You’ve done the last question four times now, so I feel like you’re lying at this point.”

Trump agrees, calling Morgan “very dishonest,” but ultimately allows him to go ahead and ask one final question about his recent hole-in-one.

The interview finally concludes with Morgan telling Trump “congratulations” for the hole-in-one, and Trump saying “thank you.”

In a written statement released after Morgan published his teaser, Trump implored the public to “compare his video promo and how it was doctored to the real thing.”

“Hopefully they will now be doing some big changes to their final product. It just shows, however, what I have to deal with in the Fake News Media. He went out of his way to deceptively edit an interview and got caught. That is a big story, isn’t it?” he added.

He also addressed the beef over the 2020 election results.

“The interview was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him ‘a fool’ if he truly believed those results. The evidence is massive and irrefutable (check out Truth the Vote and the Dinesh D’Souza documentary, which will all be coming out soon),” he said.

To be clear, Trump lost the 2020 election, and the fraud that has been uncovered thus far wasn’t enough to have altered the outcome.

With Morgan having been exposed, he’s now facing a massive amount of backlash from Trump supporters and allies, including Fox News contributor Caitlyn Jenner, who announced the cancellation of an upcoming interview with him over this stunt.

But instead of reconsidering how he’d acted, Morgan has chosen to double, triple and quadruple down. As seen in the reply below to Trump’s statement, he seems to believe it was a “great interview” and that the only reason the former president was offended by it was because of their tiff  over the 2020 election:
