Trump responds after Obama says women should run ‘every country’

President Donald Trump reacted to the idea of an all-female government after former President Barack Obama broached the subject.

Speaking at a Salem State University event last week, the former president revealed that he had previously “fantasized” about the idea of a government comprised entirely of women. He openly wondered what things would look like after two years of female leadership.

“I have a strong belief that things would — they wouldn’t be perfect, but they’d be better,” the ex-president mused.

While speaking to reporters at the White House on Saturday, Trump was asked about the comments.

Watch:

“Mr. President, Barack Obama just said if you put women in charge of every government for 2 years, things would be better. Do you buy that?” a reporter pressed.

“I love women, I think they’re great, but what a ridiculous statement that is, right?” Trump said. “Even you would say that.”
