Former President Donald Trump returned to Instagram on Tuesday for the first time in more than two years to hawk new non-fungible token (NFT) trading cards of himself.
Plugging his second set of digital trading cards for $99 per piece, Trump posted an image of himself holding up the Liberty Bell with an American flag serving as a backdrop.
“I am pleased to inform you that, due to the great success of my previously launched DIGITAL TRADING CARDS, we are doing it again, SERIES 2, AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW,” he said.

The last time Trump posted on the social media platform before Tuesday was on Jan. 5, 2021, when he promoted the fateful rally the next day. His account would be locked the day of the rally and Trump was eventually banned indefinitely. Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, announced in January that Trump’s ban was rescinded.
A second post — there were four in all — featured Trump decked out much Like Captain America while wearing a championship boxing belt emblazoned with the words “Trump Champion.”
The caption read: “I hope everyone notices, & I’m sure the Fake News won’t, that I’m leaving the price of the Trading Cards the same as last time, even though they are selling for MANY TIMES MORE (It’s called the MARKET!), & sold out almost immediately, because I want my fans & supporters to make money, & have fun doing it. I could have raised the price MUCH HIGHER, & I believe it still would have sold well, with a lot more money coming to me, but I didn’t choose to do so. I WILL BE GIVEN NO “NICE GUY” CREDIT?”

A third post included a video of Trump explaining why he was putting out another set of digital trading cards.
“Original cards sold out so fast, everybody is asking me to do another series. Well, I’ve got some fantastic news for you. My Trump digital trading cards are back with a bang,” Trump said.
“People love to collect baseball cards, but why settle for that when you can collect the greatest trading card in history,” he added.

In the last post of the night, which featured Trump in an Elvis-like pose, jamming on an electric guitar, he announced that the digital trading cards sold out.
“As of 10 minutes ago, my Digital Trading Cards SOLD OUT, in RECORD TIME, approximately $4.6 Million. A great honor, and I hope everyone is Happy, Healthy, and Wealthy. CONGRATULATIONS!” the caption read.
