Trump rips on Jill Biden, offers his own take on her debate ‘stroke’ analysis

President Donald Trump has offered up his own unique theory about what went wrong with former President Joe Biden during debate night.

When Biden stepped on stage in the summer of 2024 to debate then-GOP presidential candidate Trump, he got shellacked so badly it became a scandal.

“A weak Joe Biden self-destructed in front of the whole world,” the BBC bluntly reported after the debate.

Years later, former first lady Jill Biden blew minds when she told CBS News earlier this week that her husband’s performance two years ago was so bad that she’d thought he was “having a stroke.”

“I was frightened, because I had never ever seen Joe like that before or since. Never,” she insisted.

In a Truth Social post published early Friday morning, the president took all of this and trotted out his own fascinating theory.

“Jill Biden is now out there finally admitting that she did NOT know what went wrong with Sleepy Joe during our spectacular, and highly rated, 2024 Presidential Debate, where Joe was not exactly performing to the highest level of debate standards,” he wrote.

“She said that she thought he was having a ‘stroke,’ and various other really bad things, and yet never rushed onto the stage to help her troubled husband, as any good wife would do. The only thing she failed to mention was how well I was doing prior to his near total collapse,” he added.

“In other words, as many have asked, did my strong performance in that debate cause him to plain and simple ‘choke,’ leading to his ignominious defeat, or were other reasons the cause? Nobody else knows the answer to that, BUT I DO!!!” he concluded.

Notice what he wrote about the former first lady’s behavior during the debate He forgot to mention her behavior immediately following the debate. Right after the debate, the former first lady jumped on stage to praise her husband.

“Joe, you did such a great job,” she said to him as if he was a child. “You answered every question. You knew all the facts!”

But there’s more.

In her new memoir set to be released in June, the former first lady speculated that her husband may have even been drugged prior to the debate.

“Is he short-circuiting?” she writes in the book, according to The Atlantic. “Is this a stroke? I felt like we were watching an AI hologram of the man we knew, and the hologram was glitching. Has he been drugged? … Oh God—will people watching assume this is how he is all the time?”

The irony was a bit much, given that in the eyes of many, many, many Americans, Biden did act like that “all the time.”

“We all know that’s a blatant lie,” one social media user wrote in response to the former first lady’s insistence that her husband was usually a different person. “From the Easter Bunny handler hopping in to abruptly cut him off mid-reporter questions with ‘he’s got an egg roll!’ to the endless freezes, fumbles, and redirects before and after that debate, this was no anomaly.”
